It’s been a good year for Kubrick. 2001, The Shining, & now Full Metal Jacket. Fantastic 4k transfer, definitely worth upgrading from the blu ray. Only a few more releases to go for a full 4k Kubrick collection!

Finally on 4K, A great film and an Excellent upgrade! The Picture and sound are intense as well as AMAZING! This is the way to watch this film! Great deal too, Thank you BestBuy! I highly recommend getting your copy while you still can!

There are no negatives for this movie-it is part of the old movie machinery where talent and experience counted the most, something that is looked at today with utmost derision and tangible hate, and the reason why the modern hellweird film production is dead to me. About the flick-divided into two parts-training and the actual war campaign with all its dead on veracity-the movie is the anathema for the feminist - pinko pc crowd, that has destroyed the last traces of intelligence and respect. 2hrs of brutal honesty, blood, suffering, gore, fear and bizarre humor. Enjoy!

One of my favorite war movies finally comes to 4k . The picture quality is phenomenal.one of Stanley Kubrick masterpiece . It tells the story of marine recruits in basic training before they get deployed in vietnam

The 4k release is very good! Video is excellent and audio very clear. There are not a lot of audio effects yet still better than any version to date. The new video transfer is definitely and improvement over prior releases.

Very nostalgic movie in high definition. Brings back a lot of memories from the Vietnam conflict. Not a war movie in the normal sense. Portrays the dichotomy of an American teenager turned into a soldier of that time.

Great movie. For a film that is rather drab looking due to subject matter and locations this movie looks fantastic in 4K. Kubrick's film has been restored to the same excellence as his 2001 and The Shining.

This is my absolute favorite war film!! I would always watch the first hour when they are in boot camp. I just recently watched all of it and loved it even more. I highly recommend this Kubrick classic.

Very good war movie about the Viet Nam war. The story was very good from the basic training to going over to fight the battles. I served in the military from 1969 to 1975.The 4K picture was excellent.

Not much to say about a master at his craft, but the quality of this release is breathtaking. Any Kubrick is worth the 4k upgrade but this is a reference disc.

Great, classic, movie. A must see. The 4K version looks great! Two audio formats - 5.1 and the original mono. Haven’t listened to the mono yet, but the 5.1 sounded great and upscale to dts x nicely!

Well transfered movie = great 4k. One of the best movies out there that looks like it was filmed today...nothing bad to say.

Movie looks great in 4K, so much sharper. Older movies like these look good in 4K, having been made on film with practical effects.

One of the best war movies ever made, and it looks amazing in 4K. I played this on my new Sony OLED TV, and it is a big upgrade over the regular Blu Ray. Keep the Kubrick films coming in 4K!

Picture quality in 4K is out of this world. Fantastic transfer up there with other Kubrick classics like 2001 4K and The Shining 4K. Audio is, sadly, not an upgrade over the 1080p blu-ray.

This was one of my favorites growing up. Now i get to see it with better picture quality. Definitely worth the money.

Much like every Kubrick movie on 4k the transfer is incredible. Its a important movie with a great anti war message

FMJ in 4K, what a great movie! Outstanding performance from R. Lee Ermy, and D'nofrio. Kubrick framed this movie with his usual flair, turning Gomer Pyle into Jack Nicholson, from The Shining.
