Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This film by the great director Fritz Lang is a sobering story of how the worst in human beings can cascade into ugliness and tragedy. Suspicion, rash judgment, gossip, and an unwillingness to accept factual truths corrupt a community and snare an innocent man, who himself is warped in the process. While lots has changed since 1936, our all too human propensity to be caught up in the mob mentality remains.
