We made applesauce and apple butter with this and both were very easy to do. We're happy with the results.

I bought this to strain fruit, but it was very complicated to use. After use, It seemed a blender would be equally sufficient and cheaper.

We used to do tomato sauce by hand. This cuts down on the work involved significantly. Other reviews I read panned this item and said it made the sauce too thin. While it it does not make a chunky sauce, once it is cooked and reduced slightly it makes a great sauce.
