Customers admire the fun and cool gameplay and excellent graphics of G.I. Joe Operation Blackout. However, some found the controls challenging and wished for a greater variety of characters. The game's flashy shooting mechanics were also praised. Improvements to the control scheme and character roster would enhance the overall experience.

Super fun, and pretty basic mechanics. A fan would appreciate this even more, but just as fun I would say to someone new to the world of GiJoe. I think the only complaint I can think of is a better AI when you don't have someone to play with. The AI tends to get in the way at times, and or bail on you and offer almost no support when things get hairy. Otherwise really enjoy it, thx.

If you like GI Joe, you may like this. But it's not a great shooter. Targeting is wonky, and the special moves don't seem to do much. But it may be better with a friend for some couch co-op. I grew up on GI Joe in the 80s and got a kick out of this for a few minutes, but I'll probably never actually finish it. Disappointing, but not really surprising given the track history of these kind of licensed games. In summary: It's OK for Joe fans, but I'd pass if the Joes hold no special meaning to you.

Not the best game. I was hoping for more of a resolute mature game play. I get what they were trying to do with the comic book style art. The nostalgic music and original vehicle line up in the game. They need at least have all the joes and cobra characters playable too. I wasn't expecting it to more than what I just stated. If you love the old school ARAH line then you should pick it up. Yo Joe.

This is a pretty fun shooter game to jump in and play. It is not one of my favorites unfortunately. I played it for a while but did not get too far. I thought the controls and the gameplay could use improvement. It can be difficult to aim at specific enemies and the controls just feel a bit clunky to me. It is nice for nostalgic purposes and those who watched the TV show will surely enjoy seeing their favorite characters in the video game. It does have co-op... I cannot recommend this sadly except to diehard fans mostly. IMO I think they could have done more with this particular license which does have serious potential; it is OK.

A little too much storyline to get to the actual adventure in the game.

I'm still waiting for that dream GI joe game that will let us choose from at least 40+ characters from the get go. This one gives us 16 ( 8 from each side). I think its a let down. Now they added 2 more as dlc from the movie. Another let down. Enemies are the same. The only good thing it has are the cell shaded graphics and its flashy when shooting, so that pumps it up to a 2. A game that could have been better.

If you like GI Joe and if this game is on sale, you may like it, especially since they don't really make games based on GI Joe. However, be forewarned that this game has limited options in game modes. It has a campaign mode, which I beat relatively quickly. There is also a team battle, but you can only play it with four different people (can't play against computer). Plus, there are 12 playable characters (6 for GI Joe and 6 for Cobra). Also, the controls are fine, except it can be difficult to aim at times.

I purchased the game for my brother, "who turned 50", but grew up watching the GI Joe cartoon every weekday after school. The game is a tribute to the cartoon and is just in need of a update to make it even better. For the price $20, it is a no brainer and even has the co-op feature to be able to play the game with someone else online. Again, the game is not perfect, but for nostalgia and some great memories it is worth it.

I’m a big fan of GI Joe and this game is awesome! It reminds me of watching the cartoons and playing with the action figures. I like that it lets you play as both GI Joe and Cobra as you take on the game. I recommend this to fans of the cartoon. It’s a great way to bring back memories of liking the series.
