Nice and fast HDD in a solid and aesthetically appealing enclosure. Itt came with quality cables for each type of port . It's maybe a bit loud and the activity LED is extremely bright and could be disturbing, if you were to operate the drive in your living room or a similar setting.. Overall an excellent quality drive.

I've been using the G-Raid drives for video editing for a few years now and they have consistently proven to be a great purchase. Memory is important to have as a video editor. However, good memory is even more important because we can't risk having footage get lost in a bad drive that fails or handle the workload of editing all day. A good workhorse drive!

The G-Drive is really a great 'go to' drive. I use it for video footage and generally buy an additional for back up. It is just a very solid drive and I have not had one fail. It can handle very high res footage and still has the old FW 800 for those that still sport the old mac tower.

This drive is the loudest external I have ever had on my desk. I continuously runs without going to sleep. It does not work with Time Machine on my Mac which is the drives sole purpose. Another annoying things is that the led indicator is too bright for its purpose on take your eye away from the screen. I will be buying a new drive for backup purposes and moving this to some other storage purpose. Great looking design and solid construction but if it doesn't handle backup and is louder than a straight piped Harley then it misses the mark in my book.

Was looking for way to expand my storage capacity for a mini-mac. This product has certainly made that an easy task. Quick set up, easy to use, seems reasonably fast as well. Only issue would be that it can be a little noisy.

I work in the entertainment business and these are the hard drives the industry uses for keeping footage safe. If a multi million dollar project is trusting this product so can you.

This external hard drive is easy to install and use. The 2 terabyte unit provides quite a bit of space for storage. I give it 2 thumbs up!

We had a samsung external drive that died on us mid-shoot. The G-Drive is amazing, very fast and extremely dependable (so far)

Prior to upgrading my iMac from Mavericks OS to El Capitan OS I used it for Time Machine and it worked great. Now it seems like there is a compatibility issue with El Capitan Time Machine so I use it as a iPhoto backup only. I also back up iPhoto to a second external drive.

I purchased this hard drive unit so I could save my photos on it. I was totally surprised by the speed and power this unit has. Coping pictures to the drive is a pure joy. I cannot stress enough how great this unit is. Totally recommend G-Technology hard drive units. I know I will be purchasing another unit in the very near future. It will be another G-Drive.
