Great little external hard drive

It is “plug and play” ready, with USB and USB Type C connectors. I tried it with two different MacBooks, and the computers recognized the drive immediately. I do graphic design work, and this drive will come in handy for transferring and backing up large design project files. The G-drive has a small footprint, is very portable, and does not require external power. And it comes with a 5-year warranty.

Teslas can be a bit picky with low-quality USB storage, but this drive works perfectly so far. Metal chassis, large capacity; I have no complaints. The 'G' logo looks suspiciously like the company is trying to imply some relationship with Google, which is not the case.

The average load times for most games went down by a few seconds each, which makes this well worth the purchase in my mind. The construction is good, and the hard drive is pretty tough for something so small. I'd wait for a good sale though (that's what I did), since I don't think it's worth the full MSRP.

The feel and form factor right away give confidence that it’s gonna be able to take some beatings. I did leave it in my camera bag that does get tossed around often and had no issues once I used it again. Definitely recommended for anyone needing an ssd that can withstand some tough love!
