Great hard drive and very easy to set up and easy to use.

I was pleased with this purchase. I used the device to back-up old photos and music. The Thunder port was great for quickly uploading and downloading data. The only issue was the price was high for a single TB.

I purchased this item after having a close scare when I almost lost all of the information on my WD hard drive. I was in the middle of an important video project and needed a hard drive that was faster and more reliable. I'm extremely happy with the product and will most definitely say it's worth the higher price.

I work in production and use hard drives for both stills and video; this is one of my go-to drives. 7200rpm and thunderbolt make for fast transfers which is important and I haven't had one of these drives fail on me yet **knock on wood** The extra price makes it worth it in my opinion.

I was looking for a personal back up device and found one with the G-Drive Mobile. All I did was plug it in, click a couple of times and I was backed up. I like the idea of my info not being on 'the cloud' and I'm not overly tech savvy so this was perfect.

If you're like me and you bought the "latest thing" back in 2016 - only for planned obsolescence to kick in - you know that finding Thunderbolt 1 is next to impossible. In fact, after scouring the internet I found this online (an exact version of my old one, at least I thought) and purchased, to pick up at Best Buy. I asked the BB rep to confirm this was Thunderbolt one and he looked at me funny and said "No, this is Thunderbolt 3, that Thunderbolt 1 is no longer being supported anywhere." My instincts and the box told me otherwise. I took it home and sure enough, it was the same as my old drive. Caveat here is don't believe everything you hear. :)

This drive is great. It does what you expect it to do and it does it reliably.

And THAT was before I swapped out the mechanical drive for an SSD. I mean, I HEARD that someone did this, and it was even faster after the swap. ;-) ;-)

I purchased this drive to store all my pictures on. The transfer rate is super fast! I am very happy with the size and value for the money.
