I have read the books and held my breath on the series wondering if they could do the books justice. Well they are doing a fairly good job of telling the story. It is well written and the special effects make big screen productions envious. It is story telling at length with good scripts, good visuals that I have become accustom to.The two hour mega flicks pushed out by big studios that have dropped the dialog in exchange for action only, to increase their international sales, have left me bored to tears. This series is as good as it gets and big movies are turning their heads at it's success. Can't wait to see what the next series brings.

So, it's Game of Thrones. Either you have hopped on the hype train or you haven't. Season 4 was amazing. The more people that watch the show, the more money they have to invest in it, and they have a pretty big audience now. This edition is awesome if you love watching bonus features. I had not planned on buying the blurays since I have HBO Go, but when I saw the Targaryen sigil I couldn't resist. If you love politically-driven social dramas with a hint of mysticism, then I highly suggest watching GoT, but do yourself a favor and watch Seasons 1-3 first, otherwise the epicness of season 4 may be lost on you.

Another excellent season of GOT, except 2 of the 3 dragons are now chained up and stashed away. Anyone who knows dragons understands that dragons were meant to be free to fly and move about without restrictions. I am having a moral problem supporting this business enterprise that mistreats its dragons in such a harmful way for profit. Perhaps the show's creators can place their dragons in a zoo where we can visit to inspect the dragons health and well being for ourselves. At the very least, take part of the show's profits to create a fund for the ethical treatment of dragons.

The Iron Throne. In this, the 4th season of the series, the story of Westeros (and Essos) continues. New characters appear. Old characters die. Lots of them. There are new plot twists. It's great fun! Also great fun are the special features accompanying this disk set. There's a terrific blooper reel. There's a fun roundtable chat with the actors whose characters get killed off this season. And there's a documentary on the making of the Battle of The Wall segment that you won't want to miss. Valar Morghulis!

As a Game of Thrones (GOT) fan this package allows you to see the entire 4th season of the Game of Thrones at your own convenience and as you want, while not having to pay for HBO service. Ordering in advance from Best Buy allows you to chose the cover you want, get the best price available, and have it delivered to your home on the release date, without having to leave the comfort of your own home. Plus you will get an additional DVD with background information on the GOT 4th season. What could be easier?

Anyone who has read the books or watched this show knows that they love to kill off characters and major ones at that. However this show always finds a new character, a new storyline to make you forget they ever killed off your favorite character. The world is immense, but they keep each storyline active and don't let anything get stale. A great cast top to bottom with actors/actresses of great caliber fighting to be a part of this show. Can't wait for the next season to air.

Batman on TV is completely different from movie versions. This is camp, and you just have to laugh and enjoy the ridiculous situations as was the case with the early Batman comics I loved as a kid. I read Adam West's biography, in which he tells how poor his field of vision was while wearing Batman's cowl. You can see an example of his lack of peripheral vision in a Batcave scene where he tries to hang up the Batphone and completely misses!

This season was excellent. I can't even begin to express how I loved it without giving away things that you need to experience first hand. The momentum just builds and builds. Game of Thrones is a well balanced show, between complex characters, violence, compassion, love, hate, scheming, and other human factors that belong to life and a great show. It is the most luring show I have ever seen in my life.

Once again GOT does not disappoint! Really great season, and I'm thrilled to own it now :) I love that HBO packages the seasons with the BluRay and Digital as I always love the opportunity to increase my digital library! Price was reasonable when I bought it - always a good idea to buy the HBO series when they first release otherwise it may take years to get a good price on them ;)

I don't normally buy an exclusive because of a slipcover, but since I was picking up season four at Best Buy for the bonus disc (about visual f/x), I went ahead and got one of the "house sigil" sets instead of the normal art. I have to say It looks very nice with the other seasons, and I prefer it to the "Three Eyed Raven" version. The set itself is worth buying in any iteration.

This package contains all 10 episodes of Season 4, plus an interesting bonus disk containing vignettes of various aspects of the production process. The blu-ray disks also give you context-pertinent info on the characters, location and history while the episode is playing. Packaging is well-done with interesting literature, and the transfer to Blu Ray itself was first rate.

If you're a fan of the show then you know what to expect. Quality. Great settings, character development, writing, and action! My only gripe is the absurd use of nudity that make one of the best made shows out there seem like cheap pornography. That aside this Blu-ray version looks and sounds fantastic. If you have a good theater set-up, you will not be disappointed.

The story-telling is great and there are many stories to tell as there are many interesting characters. The stories of those characters are fascinating and they are merging in such a way that it is difficult to say how the series will end. I know that when it finally concludes I will be disappointed. I own all four seasons and I look forward to every episode. Thanks HBO.

Game of Thrones season 4 is a great continuation of the story of Westeros. Even this season started slow, it reached a great moment in episode 4 and 5. Then Episodes 8, 9 and the finale are a great closure for the season. I loved the last two episodes because it focused all in the wall, the battle was great. It gave me chills.

My wife and I started watching Game of Thrones and fell in love with it! The characters, the plots and twists...I've never read the books but the show is awesome! We cannot wait for season 5 to air in about one month now! Season 4 is awesome with lots going on...I hope season 5 will be as good if not better than season 4!

HBO generally does DVD right and certainly did with GOT S4. It was a fast-paced season with many highlights, including the Purple Wedding and an intense storyline featuring Tyrion. The extras are massive and the additional disc is a nice bonus item. Packaged well, put together well, absolutely worth your time and money.

Game of Thrones is one of my all time favorite series, and this blu-ray set continues in HBO's tradition of providing a high quality product. The animated back stories provided here and in all of their blu-ray sets provide a great amount of back story for those looking to see more of George R. R. Martin's vision.

Worthy of purchase. Adds to the series collection of all the individual seasons. Attractive on the shelf next to the other season covers. You will watch this season more than once, even after a binge session. Great Action. surprises in strategy for some of the characters, unexpected reveals and losses.

As expected the series has some extras for the Best Buy group that show a little more of the how did this come about being such a great series information. Appreciate that plus the option of buying a unique family line box had me torn ... but we decided this was the best for all of us. Aloha

I really like this TV show; the BluRay discs are excellent quality, and you also get a code for UV(Flixter, VUDU, etc.) AND Google Play (or iTunes). The Best Buy exclusive covers look really nice as well, I chose the Targaryen one because I like their Sigil with the Dragons on it.
