This rating is based on the condition and handling of the product. I went to several bestbuys to find the least damaged steelbook. Its a shame that something designed so beautifully made is not protected and every single one I looked at had dings, dents, or scrapes. Best Buy, figure out how to protect Steelbooks! The 4k picture and sound are amazing and well worth it. The steelbook edition does not include a printed episode guide, which is sad, since the non-steelbook edition comes with one. Also its strange that they cheaped out on the disc holder for season 8, instead of each disc having its own page and hub, they stack on one on top of each other on a single hub. This makes it awkward to get to the disc you want, since you have to remove the other discs. Also this will probably cause damage to the disc due to excessive pressure on the center of the disc.

Great series. Awesome 4k discs -.5 pt for packaging,a few easily fixed dents. Should have been done better for shipment -.5 pt for no separate episode guide as per other blue ray sets and steel book packing not the greatest,some separate,some overlap. Also note 4k discs digital code should redeem in 4k on Vudu. HBO shame on you

Great product. But the digital codes were stolen. Not sure how because I made sure I bought one with the shrink wrap. They had one other box, but the shrink wrap on it had clearly been opened. Can't return it now or I may never find a nother set like it. Oh well. The digital codes weren't 4k anyways

You’d think that for $240 you could send me something in a box with padding so my order doesn’t come dented... guess I’ll have to take to a store and either exchange for a PERFECT item or refund...

Whether or not the final season of this landmark, monumental show was a bit of a letdown "Game of Thrones" nonetheless remains one of the greatest television series of all time. This fantastic Best Buy exclusive set features the complete series lavishly contained within an absolutely amazing package. All eight seasons, each in their own beautifully rendered steelbook, presented in stunning 4k video. I highly recommend purchasing this wonderful set if you were a fan of the show or even if you love entertaining, engaging fantasy epics.

The full package is great and high quality. Seasons 1-7 have disc inserts in each of the cases however for season 8 most of the discs are stacked on top of each other. An odd choice seeing them only do that for one and not all.

Watched 6 seasons so far and my oh my the quality is outstanding! I can see alot more details from the city of King's Landing to the complex costume design of the Lannisters and the Unsullied. The audio is also a great improvement with Dolby Atmos now. I am so much more immersed than I was watching on HBO. On top of it all each case of the steelbook version is top notch quality with awesome designs representing highlights of each season. Watching on LG OLED Smart TV. Definitely worth the price in my opinion!

I deliberated between the lower-priced 4K regular or higher-priced 4K SteelBook set of Game of Thrones (GOT). What I did know was that I was going to purchase one of the sets as GOT is the best and most addictive movie series that has ever been produced. I opted for the SteelBook set because the steel protective covers are beautiful and I deserve it. The difference in price is worth it.

As of this item I'd rate 5 stars, the decorative steel books and box set look great and are organized nicely. The quality on screen is beautiful and met my expectations. I was skeptical about picking this set up as i read through the reviews before and seen alot on how some of their discs were defective but luckily none of that has been the case with my set. Off of the quality alone I'd recommend to anyone to give this a chance.

What can I say. Still one of the best series ever produce. People wanted to redo the eight season over again because they did not how it turn out and was rushed. To them, get over it. At season six, I was wondering when is this gonna be over. Well written, produced and most of all well acted. Great job. The transfer of the 4k was amazing. If you have a 4k tv and a bluray player, it's still great looking.

I have not watched all of the episodes yet but Season 3 Disk 2 had to be cleaned to play properly. Let's hope that was the only one and was simple to fix. The ATMOS soundtrack and the Dolby Vision Picture is something to hear and see!

I recommend buying in store and not online, based on my prior experience with steel books. Other than that, this collection is absolutely stunning on my LG c7 OLED and klipsch Atmos setup. The videos is incredible and sound is on point. I only demoed season 2 but was drawn in quickly. I can’t wait to binge the series in this format. The steel book version does not have stacked discs so it is a must own in my opinion.

What a deal I got on these and seriously, if when You saw this You only had 1080p HD, GET these or get someone You know that has em to lace You up, because the quality visuals are unmatched in terms of what stunning captures await the viewer on a 2nd pass with available 4K from this Disc Set, it’s mind boggling now cleaner and better lighting is on display in this offering!!

I was skeptical about getting this set because of some of the reviews saying they didn’t receive digital downloads for some seasons, but to my surprise the digital downloads for this series is all on one code. My set was kept nicely while at the store because there are no dings in the outer shell like some have complained about. All discs are there as well. Very happy with this set!

Apart from the last few episodes of season 8, this is one of the best series ever made for television. Cinematic in every way, so it made sense to own it on 4K. This incredible steelbook set just made it all the more desirable. Overall, impressed with this package. My only complaint is the digital code didn't redeem 4K; it redeemed HDX. That's kind of stupid.

Finally this set went on sale and I immediately purchased! Night and day comparison to watching it originally on hbo streaming. The night scenes in HDR look awesome and I can't wait to watch The Long Night episode, hoping it's actually watchable now! Don't hesitate if you're a GOT fan.

5 stars for the steelbook collection! No stars for bestbuy. They still ship these collectibles without much protection. Again received dented during shipping. I was fortunate enough they had another set in store for an exchange. Do yourself a favor and do a store pickup vs having them ship steelbooks you purchase. You will thank me!

Another beautifully realized BB 4k steelbook set. The art on the books is minimalist but consistent and nicely rendered. The steel case the books live in is also gorgeous with embossed (?) House sigils... a nice touch! Video and audio is top notch - the best you will ever see. Totally is worth adding to your collection if you are a collector of fine 4k sets.

Set is awesome. I love how each steelbook has a quote from a character on the back. However, the only disappointment was that Season 6 is missing the last disk that has episode 10.

Very nice collector set for Steelbook owners. Discs are organized strangely in the cases. As with all Steelbook sets, the metal exterior case was dented. Exterior artwork is nice.
