It is smaller and lighter than I would've thought. There is no stand so when you have it in clock-mode you have to lean it against something else. I did get it on sale which was a better value. The screen is very bright which is nice and the sound is crisp for a small gadget. The instruction are minimal. Online can answer more questions. A nice collector's item for a Mario fan.

A great piece of nostalgia. If you are looking for a collector's item, the box looks fantastic and should stay in great shape on a shelf. If you're looking for a fun gadget to play and display, this is it! While nothing 'special' in the sense of nothing new from Nintendo, it is a neat little system.

As someone who had an original game and watch back in the 80's, this was an impulse nostalgia purchase.
Granted that the game and watch that I had originally received as a child was the dual screen Donkey Kong one, it's still great to see Nintendo release this.
Gone is the monochrome screen that my original one had. This is a fully colored screen, and similar controls to the original. The pad itself looks like an old school NES (Nintendo Entertainment System - 1980's) controller.
There are some quality of life improvements such as volume, brightness, battery indicator, and it charges via a USB-C cable.
The packaging is great!
The games included are the original Super Mario Bros, the Lost Levels, and Ball, which is a very old school looking juggling game.
All in all, I love the effort Nintendo put into releasing something so retro. The build quality is definitely there. The colors of the small handheld pop, and it's definitely worth picking up for people who grew up with game and watches, and for those who just love retro games.

As someone who’s only 27 I still have a soft spot in my heart for Nintendo’s early years. This Game & Watch is a nifty little device that is not only built well, but plays, looks, and sounds good too! Definitely recommend if you can find it for a decent price (don’t pay resellers ridiculous prices!!)

An amazing nostalgic product meant to celebrate the anniversary of our favorite plumber. The controls are very crisp and firm, and the graphics and sound are amazing for a device of this size and cost. Would recommend both for collectors or anyone who wants to play mario on the go easily

Although it was a little difficult to get this game at first, it was well worth it! I have always been a fan of handheld games, and I really like this one. The screen is clear and colorful. Gameplay is good and no more difficult than any of the Mario games. The audio is a little low even with the volume turned up all the way. It can be a little difficult to hear if there is any background noise. If Nintendo released another handheld game like this, I would not hesitate to buy it.

Nintendo knows how to weaponize nostalgia and this little game & watch is aimed right at those of us who grew up with Super Mario Bros. on the NES. The device itself is well constructed of plastic and aluminum to mimic the original Famicom colors. The screen is bright and the games are easy to see. The d-pad is a classic NES d-pad but the buttons are a squishy rubber. If you’re using it for a quick Mario fix it’s probably fine, but I wouldn’t consider this comfortable for longer gaming sessions.
If you grew up with these games it’s a great little piece of nostalgia. That being said the Mario games have been made available numerous times overs the years in different collections and the other game included here is Ball...so yeah, if you’ve had enough of Mario and aren’t excited over Ball, this may not be for you.
This is aimed at collectors and Nintendo fans. Either of those will probably be very happy with the Game & Watch. It’s a unique little collectors item to celebrate 35 years of Mario.

Excellent device for the retro gamers. Love the rechargeable USB-C battery. Screen is very vibrant and the 8-bit sound is enjoyable to hear again. My only complaint is it should have included Super Mario 3 as well to complete the Super Mario Trifecta.

This little device is a must own for a Nintendo and Mario fan. This is such a cool handheld. It has the vibrant color display and the fact that it can be used as a clock is awesome. I wish they came with a stand though to use It as a desk clock. I might have to make one myself.

Playing Super Mario Bros and the original SMB2 (known to most as "The Lost Levels" on the go is pretty nice, the controls work well, even if the buttons are a touch on the mushy side.
The clock is very entertaining to watch, especially as other Mushroom Kingdom residents appear at various points during the day. There are cute little touches hidden throughout the experience that I won't spoil here.
The three games are what you'd expect and faithfully represented, glitches and all...I was able to enter level -1 in SMB as expected. I enjoy that each of the three games and clock all have their own independent volume/brightness settings and the games will save your progress so you can pick up and play whenever you like.
As nice as it is as a GAME player, it really misses the mark as an actual WATCH...After 3 minutes (unless it's plugged in), the device will go into rest mode and shut off the screen until the Power button (and ONLY the Power button) is pressed. I understand that a backlit LCD will drain battery, but it really would be nice to just glance at it as a timepiece. In addition, the Game and Watch does not contain an alarm function, making the "Watch" feature a novelty at best, but not really much else.
It's a shame, because this would have been a charming to have while travelling, but as a timepiece, it isn't very useful.

Great handheld device. Way better quality than expected: bright colors, perfect button feeling and 3 games that are classics! My only negative would be that it doesn't include an alarm but that's just me. This is a 5/5 across the board. Get one while they last!

Great little piece of retro gaming tech! The device itself is small, light and yet very functional. The screen is vivid and bright. Super Mario Bros is one of the most important games ever made and still a timeless classic. My only issue is that there isn't much to come back to after playing SMB and the insanely difficult true version of Super Mario Bros 2. If they had put a few more games on there it would have greatly improved the lasting value.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan and was thrilled to get my hands on this piece. It's a small, pocket sized and feels like a huge upgrade from an original Game & Watch. - not to mention the battery lasts multiple days. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who's a Mario fan.

Honestly, I've played this for a total of 2 hours before forgetting where I put it. With that in mind, I'm still glad I bought it. Once i find it, this little doohickey will look great on a shelf with all my other portables. And it will look great on your shelf too!

Old school collection. I have previous game & watch and this one was a must have. I am a super fan of Nintendo and collect its items. Gameplay is great, I wish it was a little bigger because of my big hands. Who doesn't like super mario bros?!?

Santa got this for the kids (8,12,13) and everyone plays it. It’s a small slick little design, and the controls are very responsive for the platforming aspects of Mario. Really cool little toy. It was much smaller and lighter than I thought it would be.

Great nostalgic device of the original game and watch devices. Looks good and plays good. Only thing I did not like was it doesn’t have a fold out stand like the originals did. To put it on nightstand as a display or for time piece it really needs one

Great to carry and play casually as a throwback to Nintendo's Game and Watch handhelds. I love that it doubles as a clock, and you can keep it plugged in via USB to keep the screen on 24/7 so you can use it as a desk clock if you wanted to.
