I love watching these movies years ago. Even the two additional movies I never seen before were fun to watch. The only down side was, I did not know the movie was in Japanese, with English subtitles.

Bigger and badder than ever; Gamera fights all of your favorite giant monster villains like Barugon, Gyaos and many more!
Stacked DVD case is not great. English subtitles help.

about time they started putting the old saturday morning monster movies on dvd. gamera was the best out doing godzilla and king kong. great for young kids, no inappropriate language or content but does have violence. loved watching the monsters destroying the towns getting even with mans dominance over nature.

Gamera 1-8
Gamera is like the off-brand version of Godzilla. Despite Gamera looking scary, These movies are about as kid-friendly as the Godzilla movies of the 60's and 70's. I never found the kid-friendly Godzilla movies to be all that great. With that being said, I wasn't too into this series. Though, I found that the gore scenes were pretty amusing, seeing as these came across as kids movies. If you are a fan of the Godzilla movies, from the 60's and 70', I think you owe it to yourself to check this series out too.
Gamera (reboot) 1-3
Gamera is like the off-brand version of Godzilla. Despite that, TOHO, the company that owns the rights to Godzilla, bought the rights to Gamera and came out with this trilogy. I found these Gamera movies to be MUCH better than the original Gamera movie series. If you are a fan of the Godzilla movies, from the 1990's and 2000's, I think you owe it to yourself to check this trilogy out too.
It is great that you can have 11 movies, all in one case, to save space on your movie shelf. However, it's too bad that this set does not include "Gamera the Brave" from 2006.

I've always liked Gamera & I'm happy w/this 11 movie 4-disc set.
Mill Creeks' decision to have only the original Japanese w/English subtitles & not English dubs is a little bit of a letdown. On a few of the movies, the stories get a little lost because the English translations are not very good on some & missing whole dialogs on others.
I also wish there were some extras; perhaps a 5th disc w/original trailers & behind the scenes / gag reel stuff. Oh well.
Overall, I am happy w/this collection. And a few other reviewers have mentioned the discs are stacked in the case. Maybe I just picked the right one, because my discs were on their own hubs- 4 discs, 4 separate hubs. I'm not sure, but it may be because I picked mine out of Best Buys $4.99 bin.
