GAMERA! 'Nuff said
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It seems that Godzilla gets all the publicity, but in between that giant lizard's appearances, Tokyo feared the wrath of this sulfur breathing cross between turtle, dragon and flying Frisbee. And if that sounds kinda dumb, I haven't even started on the whole likes small children aspect. These films rarely appear on TV and the next generation needs to be aware of them for cultural literacy. Hey, it's the one 1960s cult genre Tarantino HASN'T milked - find out why !

Ah, the flying turtle in all his glory!

While Godzilla was a general pain in the butt, Gamera was a "hero". It's probably why he was my favorite. I was hoping this set would have all of the Gamera movies, but there's only 4 in this tin case. Oh well, they were still fun to watch. It's amusing and annoying to see a token American actor or actors in these movies. Amusing to think they were needed to move the plot along (they don't). Annoyed they were always depicted as stupid. To my mind, it would have been better to leave them out and let other Japanese actors play the parts.
