Customers enjoy the long cord length of the G7 SE Wired Controller, finding it allows comfortable gameplay without worrying about disconnection. They also appreciate the high-quality buttons and the solid feel of the controller. A significant advantage highlighted is the resistance to joystick drift, a common problem with other controllers.

The controllers response time is excellent as well as the length of the cord that connects to the outside. To get more into detail I will say that this controller has wonderful feeling buttons including the two paddles that are on the back of the controller. The paddles on the back (depending on the game) help very much because of how accessible and easy to press. Overall I would say I have had an excellent experience with this controller because of the buttons on it how easy it is to transport and how well it functions.

My review is I personally didn't enjoy using the controller. CONS: I've played on Xbox before and usually love their controllers but this one doesn't feel comfortable. I do notice it has a about two second delay when gaming on shooter games. I played also Forza Horizon and it did pretty good in terms of response when racing. These are just my opinions without messing with the setting on the controller. PROS: I do like the fact that is easy plug and go type of controller. I didn't have to download any unnecessary software to use it or bluetooth it. I does come with about an 8ft cable to hook up to the computer. It has a 3.5mm headphone for people who still enjoy plugging in their headphones while gaming. I do also like the matte finish on the controller itself. Overall I personally It's not for me but it's great budget for kids and even other adults who are starting out gaming on PC and want a good controller for the money. 3/5 stars.

The perfect gaming controller

As a gamer who played a lot on console I am so used to how gaming on a controller is and using this controller just feel so natural to me. And since most of the controllers that I use tend to break easily and not work over a period of time, this controller make me feel like I was playing on console again. The feel of it is perfect for me and the weight of it just just perfect for me. This controller is perfect for gamers who want a light weighted controller and very easy and quick to learn how to use, and I am a player who played a lot of PlayStation and not own any Xbox consoles. Easy to learn on how to use and comes with everything you need with it.

Great Wired Xbox Controller

This is a great wired Xbox controller for a great price. Connecting this to my computer was easier than ever, with Steam and Windows recognizing it as soon as I plugged it in. The chord is long enough for me to comfortably sit back on my couch without me ever needing to worry if a sudden movement would unplug the controller. Remapping the buttons was easy and, unlike other controllers I have, the back remappable buttons are sizable enough where I never found myself accidentally clicking them. The controller itself also has a nice weight to it, similar to other Xbox controllers I have.

Everything feels crisp and responsive after little under a month. If this is still at 4 star then it's been holding up. It would get 5 if the pause and menu button wasn't so awkwardly high, which is no big deal and I'm getting used to, and if it didn't need specific cables. My 25ft type C doesn't work and the one it comes with is 2ft too short for my needs.
Other note worthy pros are the cable port, mute button, bottom buttons, and presets. The cable port feels tight and secure and has ample support, so it looks like it will hold up. The mute button is nice because the light makes it hard to be accidentally muted and talking to yourself. It's positioning is convenient because I have a mute switch mounted along my cable and this makes it easier than finding it. If you don't have a cable switch or ear cuff mounted mute button, it's no big deal and likely doesn't work with wireless, but I don't know. For me, using crab grip style, I don't accidentally hit the buttons. I did for the first few days when putting it down or picking it up but not while playing. The quick swappable presets for sound and controls are awesome. Also, changing the sound level on my controller is definitely much more convenient than my cord mounted volume dial.
If it holds up, then I'm happy with this purchase and my last 2 OEM and 2 Power A controllers were horrible and none lasted a year while properly functional. I also baby my electronics, so if they don't last, it's a quality problem.

I have been using my original Xbox One controller but the joysticks have been wearing out, and I’ve been getting joystick drift. With this controller I haven’t been getting any joystick drift, it’s been great! I’ve had no issues with the buttons either. You do have to keep in mind the cord, and the cord length though. I have my tv on the opposite side of the room. So I can’t lay back comfortably on the couch (7-8 feet) to play Xbox. The USB outlet is on the backside of the Xbox so you loose 10-12 inches from that. I have a small comfortable chair that I put halfway to play my games and that makes it a lot easier.

I've been needing to replace my controller for my pc for a while and this works great for my steam games. The button format works wonderfully and it installed on my pc quickly and without issues. My concern is that this feel a little too light and not enough weight on my hand. This could be better if it weighted a little more.

This was a great upgrade from my previous controller. I use mine for pc gaming and could care less about having to deal with a cord. The controller looks clean and feels very comfortable in my hands. The optional l4/r4 Are a great feature. Some games having that extra assignable button makes operations much easier. Overall very satisfied. The detachable cord seems durable and I’m expecting this to last for a long time!

I LOVE this controler! I needed a controler to play fallout on my computer but so many controlers ive use feel super cheap and end up drifting really bad after only a few months of use. I decided to spend a little more on this controler than the others… and i was not disappointed! The controler has some weight to to and feels really really solid. The chord feels really premium and is a great length!

It feels exactly like an actual console wireless controller, works easily with my PC. Also comes with a nice length cord so I never need to worry about it being long enough or not. I like how the sticks and the triggers feel too, it feels like using a real console controller on Pc which I love

The GameSir G7 SE is a stellar addition to the mid-tier gaming controller market, offering an impressive mix of comfort, customization, and performance. Tailored for both casual and competitive gamers, it holds its own against pricier counterparts.
Build Quality and Design
The first thing you'll notice about the G7 SE is its ergonomic design. The controller feels sturdy yet lightweight, with a textured grip that enhances comfort during extended gaming sessions. The matte finish minimizes fingerprints and gives it a premium look. The buttons, triggers, and analog sticks have a responsive, tactile feel, ensuring precision in fast-paced games.
Customizability
One standout feature is its customizable faceplate. GameSir allows you to swap out or even design your own plate, which adds a layer of personalization rarely seen at this price point. Additionally, the controller’s software lets you remap buttons, adjust stick sensitivity, and fine-tune trigger responses. This flexibility makes it a great choice for gamers who like to optimize their setup for different genres.
Performance
The G7 SE excels in responsiveness. The low-latency wired connection ensures minimal input lag, making it ideal for competitive gaming. The analog sticks are precise, and the triggers have just the right amount of resistance. It supports Xbox and PC platforms seamlessly, with plug-and-play functionality that eliminates setup hassles.
Features
The built-in mic mute button is a convenient touch, especially for online gaming. The controller also includes vibration feedback, which adds immersion to games without feeling overbearing. While it lacks wireless functionality, the wired design guarantees consistent performance.
Value for Money
Priced competitively, the GameSir G7 SE offers exceptional value for its features. It’s an excellent choice for gamers seeking a high-performance controller without breaking the bank.

View and menu button placement is odd and right trigger is already starting to stick. The back buttons are cool tho. Hopefully hall effect means no stick drift within a year like all my official Xbox controllers.
