Zach Braff, best known from the TV series Scrubs, proves himself to be a triple threat as the writer, director and star of GARDEN STATE. Braff plays Andrew Largeman, a struggling actor who returns to his New Jersey home town after a nine-year absence to attend his mother's funeral. Natalie Portman is perfectly cast as Sam, the endearingly eccentric young woman who encounters Andrew.. GARDEN STATE is funny and poignant, and I highly recommend it.

If you only know Zack Braff as JD in scrubs your awesome, but you know him from Garden State your fantastic! This is some of his best work! He wrote, Directed, and Star in this movie and it's amazing! It's a deep funny movie about life in your late 20s, and how things never go as plan, I don't want to spoil too much but check it out! The "sprit" sequel is Wish I was Here out soon! You should check this first, it's at Best Buy now for $7.99 a amazing price for such a good movie. Check out the $7.99 bin!

My girlfriend couldn't believe I'd not seen this picture and when I saw how low the price was I picked it up. I really enjoyed this story. Zach Braff sheds his Scrubs persona and does a solid job with his first film as a writer and director. While the drama is touching but not over the top, the comedy keeps the plot very well balanced.

One of my favorite films. Braff delivers in every way on this emotionally driven script. Portman excels as the quirky hometown girl. The story feels real and very much character driven. Overall, a solid first film for Braff. Also, the soundtrack is phenomenal.

The movie is a classic love story director is from Scrubs and stars in the film also, I definitely recommend you purchase this ASAP.

Not the best video in the world for a Blu-Ray but still a great movie back when Zach Braff seemed like he was going to be more than just the lead on Scrubs. Natalie Portman plays a great weirdo foil. Fun movie.

I watched this because I like Natalie Portman movies that don't have Jar Jar Binks in them. I've always liked this movie and was glad to see it put on Blu Ray. I was miffed that after I bought it, it was in the $7.99 at my local store.

I love this movie. It gives you that feeling of realness not many movies can do. You forget this is a movie and feel like this is someone’s real life you are watching. Zach Braff does an awesome job and the soundtrack is one of the best.

I saw this for the first time not too long ago and I absolutely love it. Garden State is a truly beautiful and relatable film and also has a magnificent soundtrack. I randomly found this in the 6 dollar Blu ray bin and I was so thrilled.

Great movie with fun characters. Even though I don't relate with main character many people do, but its a movie which only makes it even better if you relate to charters situations. Overall a great movie.

Garden State is one of those movies that has elements that everybody can relate to. It is well written and directed and leaves you feeling good! Garden State is a chapter straight out of life.

I can't say that this movie will always have the power it did when it was first released, but it perfectly encapsulated a place and time and having it on blurry is the best time capsule for this film. 'buff said.
