I have to say that I do like this GPS system. It has good battery life, I have yet to find a course that I play that it doesn't know about. It seems to be accurate and easy to read in bright sunlight.
My only real complaint is that I like to keep it in my pocket rather than clipped to my belt. When I do put it in my pocket without locking the screen, I find that it will zoom in on holes when not intended. Locking the screen fixes that, but to lock/unlock the screen, you need to click the power button, which bring up a setup screen. You can lock the screen and then click the power button again. As long as you aren't wanting to check distances for hazards too often, this is ok, but it would be nice to just have a lock/unlock button.

As indicated above when it is working the graphics are easy to see and reasonably accurate; at least for my game. The distance to the green as well as the intermediate hazards is good and provides a positive lay-up control. Battery life is fine; at least two to three rounds without a problem. I am interested primarily in distance measurement and so do not use the other extras such as score keeping; match play etc. so cannot comment on these.
My one problem is that the unit freezes during the round either on a certain hole location or it flips to a scoring mode. I have not been able to "reset" the unit to my current location without shutting it off and restarting it. When restarted the unit does reset to the current hole but the process is a pain.
Below recommendation would be made "softly"

The battery and charging systems are excellent. I find yardages are not easy to keep reading properly for some unknown reasons9s). Some holes work well but some seem to stop reading the yardages from the ball to green

i got one of these in the spring. i don't head to the course without it. friends and family were jealous all summer. i had to get one for my dad for christmas. he is very excited. i haven't been to a course that the garmin didn't already have programmed. battery life is superb, only uses about 20% for a round. there are newer models, but the features don't justify spending any more money in my opinion. I love my G6, I hope it lasts forever.

Love the device. I don't go golfing without it. Yardage seems to be accurate. Wish the maps had more detail.

I replaced my old Sky Caddy with this Garmin G6. A very good move for me, device is very accurate, has all the functionality I need and the best part is all the courses I use are preloaded.

The Bose Quiet 15 noise-cancelling headphones have been around forever for a reason-they're great. I've tried other barnds, and the "upgraded" model 25, but these are the best bang for your buck-even if you won't look "cool" given the original design and colors persist.

Had a Golf Buddy that is old. The Golf GPS are much better and advanced. I love the touch screen and being able to keep my yardage average for each club I hit.

Probably should have got the G8 because of the screen size but I'm very satisfied with purchase. My golf buddies where amazed when I told them there stats and the end of the round.

Took awhile to get used to it but the Garmin provided adequate services. Best Buy price matched so I bought the GPS. Wanted detailed measurement to hazards off the tee and surrounding the green. The Garmin provides that but it's difficult to pin point exactly the edge of a hazard with a moody touch screen. Sometimes it works perfect then other times you have to hit it five times. Good GPS if you can get it on sale..

Plenty of free downloads of courses. Just wish I’d now bought a watch instead of a case GPS. A full charge will give you about 3 full rounds of golf.

I've use this GPS for about a year now and it rarely works. The GPS can never find a signal and when it does the yardages are way off. I previously had a cheap GPS made by Callaway and it worked very well for many years. Thought I would step up and buy a "nicer" color GPS. Big mistake - This piece of garbage has never worked well.

This is the best GOLF GPS I have ever owned. It had all courses (worldwiide) downloaded to the device and ready to go.
