Bought this City Navigator for Europe for two reasons: 1) I needed one and 2) I really needed one in preparation for an upcoming driving tour in Scotland. I really did not want to try navigating there without electronic assistance. Turned out to be a great purchase (to accompany the new GPS that I bought), Scotland is known for its extensive use of roundabouts and the GPS and this chip handled them like a charm. It gave me about a 0.25 mile alert of upcoming roundabouts and even told which of two or three exit options to take. Additionally, it showed them on the screen. Finally, the price was right. You won't go wrong with this Navigator chip.

easy to use....saves money in rental navigation systems in european car rentals

This is an excellent tool for driving throughout the U.K. We simply put in the postal code of every destination and was able to navigate easily to every location. When we were using it for walking, the Garmin would ask if we wanted to switch to pedestrian mode, but sometimes it gave us confusing instructions - I think if we worked with it more, it would have been more helpful in this mode.

Works great getting around in Portugal. In some cases you need to be aware it will take you over mountains which are shorter, but unless you are driving like a local in twisty high speed turns, you wind up taking longer. However, you do get where you want to go.

Product is okay on the highway but needs some updating for city driving. Accuracy in the cities is a little sketchy. Doesn't always take you to the correct place or navigate well in city environments.

I am in Europe now this city navigator is good but some of the street name are spell different.with local name.
