Small, easy to install and HD video makes this thing next level! I love that the size of this can easily fit behind the rear view mirror and doesn’t get in the way of my vision.

On the most part, this dashcam is what I have been looking for. Since I commute a lot of miles each day for work, I needed something to record events in case anything happens. It is compact enough to hide behind my mirror so it is not a distraction. The picture is fairly clear, though not 4K. The controls can be somewhat difficult as there are a number of options to scroll through. But I set everything and I do not have to worry about changing anything else. The one thing that annoys me to no end is the ADAS feature. It is not that accurate. It is constantly sounding an alert every time I change lanes. And it keeps giving me some sort of speed alert even if I am under the speed limit. I cannot figure out how to disable this feature. As for installation, it was fairly straight forward. I used the long power cable that came with the dashcam and routed it under the dash and up through the pillar trim and into the headliner above the windshield. The cable hides pretty well (other than the parts that are visible where they go into the dash and cam ports).

Purchased this camera multiple times in March 2021 for multiple vehicles in the family. It has worked great and luckily we've haven't had any incidents requiring us to pull videos from the SD card as evidence of others wreckless driving.

One of the best dash cam I've owned. I love how small it is and it can be mounted right behind the rear view mirror. The picture quality is excellent and night vision is even better. Easy to use and download videos from it.

Bought this to utilize as a rear dash cam with my Garmin 66w that is in the front of my vehicle. Easy to install and link to the other dash cam. Decided to go with Garmin dash cam over another brand due to reviews of the Garmin app and the fact that all other dash cameras where the rearview dash cam is physically plugged into the front dash cam downgrade the resolution of both the front and rear video. The Garmin you have separate dash cams w/separate storage and they link to each other wirelessly. It's quite slick. Luckily I have a 12-volt outlet in my rear trunk space on my Subaru Outback. If I didn't have that I would've need to by a longer micro USB cord to reach a 12-volt outlet in the front of my vehicle.

Let me preface with this... I’ve only had this for two days. However, set up was extremely easy. Literally, just plug in, plug in your SD card, and go. You have the ability to connect to your phone via the Garmin Drive app. From here, you can view/download footage. I appreciate the voice commands - it makes life a little easier and you don’t have to search for certain incidents. It also has a few driver aids. Basically, it lets you know if you get too close to the car in front of you, veer into oncoming traffic, and whenever traffic begins to move again (from a red light or stand still traffic). All in all - a great dash cam.

I bought this for a road trip with two small babies (first time for a long road trip with 2 kids under the age of 2). Super easy to use and it’s so small you never even notice it. I would recommend you buy the extra power cord so it records your vehicle after it’s turned off. I was a little hesitate about this after reading the reviews about the lane departure but it’s just a small beep that’s hardly noticeable. If I had to buy another dash cam, it would definitely be this one! Happy shopping!

I like it because if the traffic is stopped and start moving the camera let you know and if you are following too close o if you're changing lanes. The thing I don't like about the camera is the screen is off all the time and you don't know if is recording or not and there's no manual inside the box

Before this, I tried a similarly priced Rexing dash cam from Best Buy, and this one is a huge improvement. Pros: 1. The app makes it easy to browse and and save specific portions of clips. If you take a 6 hour trip, you can save just the part you need rather than the entire thing. 2. The physical install is much better. First, the only par that sticks to your windshield is a small magnet, so taking the camera off to take inside or get the card out is much easier. The clips that come with it to hide the cable are also decent quality. 3. The camera itself is very light. I had a lot of trouble with the Rexing falling off the windshield whenever it got hot in the car and the glue softened. And now there's a huge glue mark where it used to be. I've never had this one fall off. 4. The voice activation and features are helpful. I haven't used it much but being able to verbally tell it to start a travel lapse or save a clip is helpful. In the rare instance that I needed a clip saved though it had already detected the hard stop and protected that clip. 5. The app setup is reasonable. It needs to connect to the camera WiFi (the camera makes its own WiFi network) in order to setup, update and download clips. Bluetooth is just too slow for that kind of thing, especially video. And the videos downloaded to the phone fairly quickly. It's just not as intuitive as some might expect. Cons: 1. The stoplight detection, and lane change detection are more annoying than anything. The red light detection only seemed to work at one light in the city. And my car already has a good lane-keep assist system and adaptive cruise control with lidar and front and rear-mounted sensors, so having the camera chime along with what the car had already done better and faster was kind of annoying. 2. Garmin's apps are functional, but a bit utilitarian in design. They don't make it particularly clear how to do things. Zooming in on a long clip to select part of it was a bit frustrating as well.

The Garmin Dash Cam 46 is a really good unit. It's small, easy to set up and use (the voice command mode works great!), and the Garmin Drive app, so far, has been flawless. The only reason for four stars instead of five is because the the unit isn't anywhere near as good at night as I thought it would be... footage looks grainy. Not quite what I would have expected from a Garmin product but it's not really a deal breaker either.

This is the first dashcam that I have purchased, after a lot of research I setteled on this one. I like the features of this camera and although I did not connect the rear camera it works just fine. It gives me a piece of mind in case something should happen. The size of this is what got me, I have it tucked up and away so it does not interfere with driving but does capture the complete front of my vehicle. Great camera !!!!!

I used it for approximately two hours before it started saying my brand-new, right-out-of-the-package SanDisk Extreme Plus 125GB SD card was nearing the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced. I reformatted the card to the Dash Cam twice, got two minutes of use, and then got the same response. When I plugged the SD card into my computer, it worked just fine. I can't stress enough that this SD card was BRAND NEW so I was really confused why it would be at the end of its life already. The dash cam also ran really hot so I had concerns about the battery exploding. I gave it two-stars because aside from being faulty and difficult to use, the pictures were crisp and clear (not clear enough to read license plates, though). It also has some cool features, like voice activation. If you purchase it, just keep in mind the SD card may need replacing every 6 - 12 months because the dash cam rewrites over them again and again to the point that they die... and the SD cards it requires aren't cheap! You need the 10+ speed high-end SD cards. Mine didn't even make it an entire day.

The Garmin Dash Cam 46 is a compact dash cam with a wide 140-degree field of view that captures enhanced 1080p HD footage. It automatically records and saves footage of incidents. The Dash Cam Auto Sync enables you to control and play back footage from up to four cameras in the Garmin Drive app. With the Dash Cam 46 you can use all of the same features found on some of the newer and more expensive models like Voice Control and Garmin Drive APP use with its built-in WiFi. We like it so far!

Horrible products. I bought three in total and I had to return one bc of connectivity issue. One of them stops connecting to any phone so I can’t download or view footages. The last one just gave up and barely turns on after a year. In term of recording, it does a decent job at recording videos and voice but it’s not 1080p resolution as advertised. The alerts for traffic and stop light barely work. Please consider buying other products and not this ones.

Just purchased. Easy to setup. Printed the manual online, easy to follow. I can view footage on my android phone using the Garmin Drive app or on the camera or on the computer by using USB cord that is used specifically for the computer only (comes with two cords one for the vehicle and one for the computer). Videos and photos are stored in the DCIM directory on the camera memory card, just hook up to computer and click on DCIM. I would recommend this product.

This is my first dash cam that I’ve purchased. I really enjoy having it as a driving companion/witness. It comes with alert systems for lane departure, collision, and traffic movement. It also takes voice commands so you can save your videos or pictures without taking your hands off the wheel. It’s video quality is clear once you save it to your phone. The only issue I have it that it takes a while to save your videos to your phone, and it doesn’t do it automatically like other cams. Overall, it’s a great starter dash cam from a trusted brand.

I have one of these in the front and rear window of my vehicle because of what can happen from being rear-ended or hitting someone else. I love the fact that it is void activated, this makes taking pictures and saving videos convenient. Great Picture and video quality and i have purchased a few of these in the past. Garmin seems to be the easy and most intuitive one to use out of them all. Would definitely recommend this product.

For the price I find this camera to be a sound buy. Yes there are better dash cams out there with better quality but more expensive (not that the quality is bad with this one, you're just not getting 1080p that's for sure) This one is clear enough to keep you adequately protected. This is already a fairly low price camera, so I would recommend this camera at the lowest price point. Don't skimp and get something lower priced - it is for your car that is worth from a few thousand to tens of thousands of dollars after all.

Takes decent video and easy to set up. Does get warm in prolonged use.
