Nice camera but not as expected

Nice feature but video quality Is disappointing. The wide angel is great but can't see small details, if facing the sun it shows a blurred video. During Night time it is not so visible. Tech features of recording and loading are great.

Never thought garmin brands will disappoint me but unfortunately this dash cam sucks. Specially for the price point can’t even read the license plate from the car right I front of you then the camera freezes on you and stopped working till you do force restart. The features on the other handS are also not good. Lane departure warnings aren’t even close and wrong every time.

Has a 180 degree wide angle view Records in HD Alerts you with red light cameras Alerts you when sudden lane changes Most importantly is the collision warning It’s voice control/ recognition Very small and easy to handle or store Very stable easy to adjust with the windshield articulating mount Phone and dashcam syncing sucks (see my comments below) The app that Garmin uses is OK...but there is “SO MUCH!” room for drastic improvement My comments are as follows 1) connecting to the camera is cumbersome and not easy...if your fingers are fat GOOD LUCK ! 2) I think the moment the vehicle is started, there should be a way that the dash can syncs with your phone automatically so u can quickly check videos 3) during an accident (God forbid) you are not fumbling with your phone and the stupid dashcam trying to figure out how to connect the 2 devices to show the cops your video proof 4) Plus on top of that, auto syncing will allow you to just save or email your videos to yourself for record keeping

    Not clear

I was really excited about this product from garmin until I have reviewed my videos, and photos. Though the 180-degrees is a great feature, my one concern is being able to catch high quality images which failed to deliver. License plate numbers are really blurry and most of the time are not legible because of poor image quality. This is a dissapointment because that was the main reason why i chose this particular company, product to deliver the best and latest.

Camera costs a lot more than others but has great features. Especially useful in an older car or non-luxury car. Lane departure warning system, forward collision warning system, motion alerts if you space out at a red light that reminds you traffic is moving. Picture quality is great and it’s easy to install. Paired with the parking mode cable it runs automatic. You don’t have to do anything. Turn on the car and you’re good to go. It automatically saves video if it detects an accident. I have it on both my cars. Would get again for a third car

Very easy to use dash cam. Typical garmin. Reliable and very good audio quality plus the very wide angle lense is great. App also helps usability. 128 GB sd card records 24 hours.

We own a 45 and are very happy with it. This 65w is small and portable like the 45 but the view is even better.

awesome dash cam, bestfor extra wide lens, voice control is a plus, however, not great while playing music as Garmin sometimes thinks lyrics/music are human commands.....often mistaken.a conversation as a command too...

My only complaints were not realizing at the onset of use you must complete updates and a firmware update. The camera will work without it, however, the date and times will be wrong. Secondly, every time I plug in the USB charging cable (that was packaged with the camera) I receive a prompt that the connection cable cannot charge the device, disconnect and insert a compatible cable. The camera ultimately does successfully charge with the cable though. Overall the product is easy to use, easy to store and has high-quality video and picture,

    A great gadget type gift

Bought this for my other half. A total road geek and boy was he ecstatic receiving this dash cam. Excellent video quality, as good as he was hoping for and better than many videos he’s seen posted on line from his fellow road geek friends. Lots of extra features checks all the boxes for a gadget type gift. The one that got the most ooohs and aaahs was the timelaps settings. I personally mounted the dash cam and found it to be a breeze and seems really secure. There’s also a power cord you can purchase extra that is like the lighter adapter the camera comes with, but has USB plugs, which replaced a two USB lighter adapter we had used for for our phones.

Got the dash cams for each of my two cars. The professional installer at Best Buy did an excellent job installing them - no wires shown and the dash cams are largely hidden behind the mirror. The camera itself is very small and the added alerts (collision and lane departures) are additional help. Very satisfied with the units so far...

Don’t even think about purchasing this model 65W. It is absolutely JUNK. Garmin should recall each and every one of them. Thank goodness for BestBuy and there wonderful warranties. This is my third replacement since April 2018 and my last Garmin product I will ever purchase. I will return this one today and purchase a Thinkware F200d

Not the QualityI expected from Garmin

This Garmin product stopped working after 2 short months. The first thing I was very disappointed on the quality of the video's it produced. I also found that it was difficult to hold the settings and most of the time I ended up restoring it several times through Garmin Express to no avail I then placed a call to Garmin support and still am waiting to hear back after several days. On my return trip from Florida on April 2nd 2018 the voice activation system stopped working all together. So back on the phone to Garmin I went followed all there instructions while online with them and still nothing did worked. The representative told me that a email would be forthcoming on a detailed instructions on how to reprogram the camera. Well I'm still waiting but I wait no more I will be returning it to BestBuy this weekend for my refund. One more thing I purchased a cheap online camera for my wife's car for $39.00 dollars and it produces much better video's then this Garmin . I would have given it one star but two items on the camera do work,, the on and off switch, thus the two stars
