Turns on when truck starts, acts as if it’s a front camera to sense movement/ collision detection not just records video which was an unexpected plus.

The camera quality was good, but the processing was slow. With that price it could have been better. Also the GPS should have been provided with every camera.

I expected better from a company, such as Garmin. I like the simplicity in futures this offers however it’s unreliable and has a lot of bug. Using the app is so slow it’s unusable and there customer support is a the same. It works as cheap insurance, though as I’ve checked the SD card and it seems to be recording. 

Servers the purpose for the cost of cam. Cam is small and out of view. Installation was easy.

Camera works great, Easy setup, and the app is very easy to use and configure.

The camera is a nice size ane pic but thats about it, you have to manually connect to wifi every time you get in the car, also it keeps asking you to subscibe to a service to upload your videos to the cloud, very annoying, you also need to be connected to wifi to upload any videos to your phone, my other dash cam automatically downlaod videos to my phone without me doing anything, also it connected to my phone also..

It works great, fantastic we love garmin. We own three vehicles they all have garmin dash cams. But this particular dash cam we bought for our grandson to put in his first car.

Kinda wish I would have gotten a dash cam that included the back as well.

We have the Garmin mini 2 in our other vehicles and they have been great over the last four years. My Cobra SC201 dash cam went down so I figured the Garmin mini 3 would be an upgrade and so far it’s been amazing. Easy connect to the app for live view and takes up less space on the windshield. It’s a must have these days.

Better than expected performance. A few slight issues—replaced an older model and uses a different cord so had to run this one through; also, bigger (width) so mount had to be moved further from the mirror. These slight inconveniences do not outweigh the performance over the older ones.

This dashcam is compact and small, and it’s easy to install. Need to compromise on the video quality but it dues satisfies the needs.

Don’t waste your money. I bought this to capture a 3,000 plus mile road trip in New Zealand. It had to reconnect each time and it would kick me out of Apple Car Play for directions. I tried connecting to WiFi at AirBNB’s or hotels to save videos, but the device kept disconnecting. After multiple days of wasting more than an hour trying to edit a clip that kept kicking me out, I gave up. I planned to download and edit when I got home. Even at home on my wifi, I had reconnecting multiple times. I was able to export 3 videos clips I edited before it said my 256 micro SD card needed to be formatting. After using it the last 2.5 weeks. Formatting it would means it would delete anything on my card. I’m know trying to figure out if there’s a way to retrieve it. I tried calling Garmin but they weren’t able to help. He said it required a class 10 SD card, which mine was. Because it was within 30 days, he said I could return it, but only if it’s bought directly through Garmin, not Best Buy. I bought the “vault” subscription as a fallback, but it only works for saved videos unlike the cloud. Due to connectivity issues, the videos weren’t saved. It was a waste of money but the frustrating part is the lost memories. The whole reason I bought this item was to capture my roadtrip, which it did not. Don’t bother with a Garmin. Not user friendly and a waste of money.

The "mini" series dash cams are great camersa for concealment but as MANY others have complained, not so good with the application (bluetooth connection). GARMIN needs to create a CarPlay compatible application with easier connection features. Although we know that fumbling with the phone app is a no-no we do it anyway...thats why we NEED a CarPlay application! Give us a new application that works!!! DRIVE stinks...

Absolute garbage DO NOT BUY. I have the garmin 2 in my car and it works great purchased the garmin 3 for my wife’s new car and had to return it after 2 days of trying to get it to work properly and reaching out to customer support multiple times would not record must of the times unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in just a big headache.

I love this camera. I purchased three of them. Easy set up. Easy viewing. Nice and clean hidden wires if your car allows you to get into the A pillar trim and down the door seal. Only downside is it is front facing only. Good product and support.

It’s very easy to install. The app works great all the time I highly recommend this dash cam gives me a piece of mind, knowing that everything been recorded while my car is in motion.

Bought the Garmin dash cam for a great price. Dash cam is small enough to not be a distraction while driving.
