This is a great upgrade to the 10yr old one that I had prior to this. It’s easy to use and to update as well as extremely easy to see with the larger screen size.

It continues the Garmin traditions of old. I have had many of these,, which I have either broken or lost. So, I have to buy yet another. Nice size screen.

Installed this into our MB ML 350 as my wife did not like the factory GPS. This has all the updated roads, etc but is clearer to use and much more user friendly that I now use it! I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a clear, easy to use, program and understand GPS. I will not pay to upgrade my MB maps now that I have this unit which updates for free via the internet,

No real surprises or disappointments. This replaced my previous Garmin that lasted over seven years. Similar features with a nice clear large screen.

Perhaps my 5th GPS purchase over the years. I recommend buying the largest screen available - I went with 6 inch and it was much easier to understand with a quick glance. Really a pain to determine when you enter a new destination. Process is NOT intuitive. Be sure to try again to enter your new location if you do not get a screen that lets you choose wording like New Destination? If you don't enter yes, it mixes your newly entered destination with the last instructions you entered and the outcome is sometimes nasty. I typed an address withing MN correctly, it decided I wanted to go to North Dakota. I had never ever entered anything related to the Dakotas. Other issues related to the process. It DOES direct you properly once you comply with its proceedures but, like most GPS, if you are aproaching a gradual split of your highway into mutiple new roadways be prepared for choosing the wrong one. Also at one point on a curve of a major divided highway it sent an urgent message that I was going the wrong way on the highway. A glitch in the reading of the location by the GPS that went away but scares you enough that you won't forget what it said, and where you were when it went "rogue".

I purchased this to make drives of up to 2.5 hours to unfamiliar parts of the state and not eat up all of my phone data using a navigation app. The old version asked for $90 for lifetime map updates. I'm glad I spent the extra money for the newer version - the touch screen is more responsive, the screen is easier to see and larger, and it comes lifetime map updates.

Larger size is great for reading in the car. Easy to use with lots of good information

The guy at best buy helped us choose this and im really happy with it. I use this for work and its definitely a great investment.

Great GPS for the money, I have a Kenwood in dash DNX572 deck that has Garmin but I have to pay 70 bucks a year to update it.

The GPS unit was easily updated on line. Having life time updates is a big plus. The display is large, clear and attractive, showing streets, resturants, gas stations and etc that you are approaching. It works as well as the built in unit I have in my other car. The price was reasonable and I am extremely pleased with this unit.

Had no problem from the start. Very easy to use and informative with searches. Got us to our destination very quickly.

We've used this Garmin Drive 61 LM for about a week now. Sometimes it seems like it doesn't allow enough time/distance between notification of direction and when we are to actually carryout the direction. As a result, we've missed exits and lane changes, especially in traffic. Other times, it seems like it is slow in finding its location. For instance, we'll make a turn and a short while later, it will tell us to turn. The battery life is terrible, about 30 minutes. You need to definitely conserve battery if you plan on walking or biking any distance. We do like the way it gives direction with landmarks. For instance, "turn right after the McDonalds". And, we like the large screen display. There are other features we haven't tried yet. We intend to at least try those out before deciding whether to keep or return this item.

I am a courier for Labcorp. This unit replaces a model 65 that died on the job recently. Does everything we need for a professional driver without the cost of purchasing a semi OTR model. This one uses fewer colors in the display as the model 65. Was not prepared for all the green at the top of the screen, but have gotten used to it. These units are getting harder to find and the selection is very much smaller than when we shopped two years ago. Very happy with this one so far.

The Garmin line of GPS are now and always have been top notch, it just doesn't get any better. The Garmin has all the built in parameters as well as a large screen for easy view, that's the reason to keep it in a safe place when you leave your car in a parking lot - this is the model thieves will break into your car to get.

I had Garmin GPSs before and thought it time foe an upgrade. Added features took some use and time to get used to.

It may not have all the bells and whistles but this does exactly what my husband needs for his job. He loves it!

Easy to see map. Turn notices well in advance. Easy to program

This is my second Garmin gps and I love it. I particularly wanted the lifetime updates. Only used once but it was easy to use and quality I expect from Garmin. Initial set up was very easy. Be sure to follow directions and update before first use.
