I can probably contribute the failed and slow initial updating to internet speed. Maybe I just had one that was just a lemon, but it froze on the second day and could not even be turned off. Returned it that day still on and very hot to the touch.

Posted .When a device won’t power on or off, a soft reset often resolves the issue. Connect the device to a power source with the vehicle power cable or an AC adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 to 15 seconds. Once the device powers on I would suggest fully charging the battery.

It responds nicely to the fingertips. My older Nuvi 2595 was not nearly as sensitive. Just wish it would display both destination mileage AND ETA time simultaneously. Nice upgrade from previous Garmin.

Well it you travel a lot you will need it,, We used this in Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and Beartooth Pass. It was a good purchase since we only had cell service about 10% of our trip. Only one con I thought was it has built in trip advisor so I thought I could just transfer all my saved trips and way points... I couldn’t get it to transfer

Did not like the Bluetooth feature when connect to my mobile phone. With volume all the way up on the GPS, I could barley hear in the conversation. The traffic, school zone and red light feature are great.

The graphics are great and the new additions of color coding changes in Speed Limit and providing Red Light Camera Warnings is beyond valuable. So much better than a phone GPS.
