Battery went dead and left me in the Montana mountains on my first leg of over two thousand miles, and no idea where was my destination. It never worked again. Thank God, I had my old GPS. It was very scary.

Posted .Sorry about your experience. When on battery only the battery life is up to 1 hour from a full charge. There is no limit when connected to an external power source.

Directions in particular were woefully outdated and inaccurate. Actually took a longer, unnecessary route than might have been used. Would not recommend this product.

He indicated that it wasn’t user friendly as he would like. My father stated he had to use the gps on his phone.

This results in the display being obscured by icons so street names, etc, are blocked. Garmin said they will not change this.

The first one we purchased in May was returned and a new one was sent in August (2020) It is now January 2022 and it has completely quit. Will not power on. They should last longer than 18 months.

The one that I bought was already set to demo mode. And no one at the Greensburg Best Buy could help me with it. Please thank twiced before you buy a Garmin because I had 2 this year and they would not work.

Posted .When the demo mode is enabled on a Garmin device, the device may display a demonstration video. Additionally, you may be able to use the regular navigation menus but the device will never go out of simulation mode.
If your device is in demo mode, you may disable this mode by simply driving around with the device, traveling at least 10 miles per hour for at least 30 seconds.

We told the sales clerk She did not want it to connect to smart phone .She got home dried to set up G P S and it was trying to connect to cell phone. So she returned it to the store so i went on Garmin web site and purchased the right one for her.
