Overall good GPS...quick loading of maps and great traffic. FYI...only come with a regular power cord, if you want HD quicker traffic, you have to buy the GTM HD cord that give you more reliable and better traffic updates. But the unit itself is sleek and nice details as someone who doesnt like using their phone for GPS.

Bought this because I was traveling to the Nevada mountains. My previous GPS disappeared. This GPS is great!! In addition to the directions there is a map that actually shows the road and which direction and what lane you need to me in before you change directions. The picture is very clear. My phone is connected via Bluetooth so I can talk on my phone hands free. Definitely recommend it.

I have always liked the Garmin GPS and have given some as gifts as well. My last Garmin lasted a long time and it was time to get a new one. This model is just what I was looking for, lifetime maps and traffic included. The traffic has saved a number of times and it's a definite plus to have. The GPS is very user friendly and accurate. It's nice to have options when choosing a route in case you prefer a different way than what it originally routes you. Definitely recommend

Bought this one to replace another older Garmin that was lost or misplaced. Functions as advertised with a few updates compared to the older one. Very happy with the purchase although I would say that the material used are less heavy, making the unit lighter, but not feeling as sturdy as the older one that I owned. The only negative I have is that the window mount part that attaches to the unit itself is less easy to attach and unattach as the older unit.

Works well and is easy to use and hear. Have not used the Bluetooth or traffic option yet, but have used on two 1-3 hour trips and it was useful.

This GPS is easy to program. The new screen with HD is great. I like the new improvements verses the older GPS.

Very nice upgrade from my Garmin Nuvi 1490t. Really wanted a GPS where I could use a voice controlled feature. Having used it on a number of occasions I can say that while it may not be 100% perfect, it works very well. Also like a lot of the updated screens like those that tell/show you which lanes to be in and when. The response time is so much faster than my old Nuvi. It seemed like it would take forever when typing addresses and locations but the DriveSmart 55 does not have that lag time. I have mine hardwired so it powers on and off with my car. Only knock I have is that I am using the same charging cord that came with my Nuvi (traffic-enabled cord) and it DOES NOT function as a traffic cord with my new DriveSmart 55. Gives me a notification each time it is turned on that the power cord is not compatible. Charges just fine but if I want to utilize the live traffic updates feature, I would need to buy that cord and re-wire it into my car which I do not want to do. It's a fairly expensive cord as well. Still, it is a big upgrade from my Nuvi. Would recommend anyone using a Nuvi or an older model to upgrade.

I was on a trip when my older model GPS stopped working. I wasn't able to locate this model while I was on the road at any of the Best Buy stores they were always "sold out". The store near where I live had it in stock and I purchased after returning home. This GPS is exceptional and I understand why all the stores I checked while on route were sold out.. I Love This Model of GPS..

Cell like to overheat and drain battery especially since iPhone 7 I don't take any charger with me anymore. I had to send this device back to Garmin because I got software error and the replacement wasn't that great. Have now three yellow dots what don't show strongly. I didn't had time to complain again. Least it's working

Love my Garmin GPS with bluetooth. I don't have bluetooth in several of my cars, especially in the one I take longer trips in. The Garmin has been a lifesaver. It will even flash up a message on the screen so I can see them. I cannot respond to them but I can see if it is important enough to stop and respond to. Definitely worth the price.
