I have a fairly modern Jeep Compass However it did not come with the built in navigation / touch screen head unit. I had been debating on installing one but with a $800 - $1500 price tag, I thought I would give this Garmin a shot first... For my usage, I simply wanted a fixed (built in GPS) and Bluetooth hands free calling feature built in. This was the main reason in wanting the new head unit. I am glad I tried this Garmin first! The GPS is great, fast and purposeful. Much better then the GPS I was using on my Galaxy S10+. But much to my surprise, the Bluetooth hands free calling is exceptional! The speaker is loud and clear, and the calls are clear on both sides even when driving noise is abundant. I also love the display, its large and bright, very clear. It also shows my messages on screen when connected to my phone (as it always is when driving. I am very satisfied and have no need to replace my stereo head unit now, thanks Garmin!

My last Garmin was getting old and having some problems, so it was time for an update. This Garmin 65 is bigger (2 inches diagonally) than my older Garmin, which makes the details and print just a little bigger, and that really makes it easy to quickly see where I need to go. Love the voice input! Garmin recognizes my words exceptionally well. I just say, "OK Garmin," and she asks me what I want to do. I say, "Saved Places," or I say, "Go home." If it's saved places, then I say the name of the place. Then she says, "Do you want to Navigate to...(the place)" and I say, "Yes." This makes changing your destination so much safer! I know I've clicked on the promise to refrain from using Garmin while driving, but honestly I've done it many times. I turn down the radio when giving voice input, of course. If you download the app, and turn on Bluetooth on your phone, you will get highly accurate traffic updates, which I love. My only concern is that the unit tends to get very warm when being used while plugged in. I highly recommend this, it's the best Garmin yet.

I’m a bus driver so I absolutely love this Garmin. I have been a lifelong Garmin user and always will be. My mistake when purchasing this unit was not getting the additional insurance from Best Buy. There is however currently an issue or bug with the smart notifications. What I mean when I say this is some days the notifications would work and then some days they wouldn’t appear at all. Some days they would only appear for half the day. I swapped out units at Best Buy thinking that would resolve the issue, nope it didn’t. I tried taking the unit back to Best Buy and they told me that because I didn’t purchase the insurance they were sticking to their return policy and that I had to call Garmin and do an exchange with Garmin. I just sent the defective unit out today hopefully I will get the exchange back soon. If Garmin is able to fix the bug or issue with the smart notifications not appearing constantly that would be really helpful.

I like the large screen. The traffic updates are a great help. Very easy to use.

Love the big display. I depend on this thing to keep me on time for appointments. Excellent tool for time management. Easy to use and very accurate. Keeps my customers happy, makes me look good. I am older so it helps people to see that I am in control of my facilities and sharp as a tack. I’ve lost a lot of anxiety by using this on my job.

I purchased this to replace my 7 year old Garmin that still worked but kept popping up with strange messages. This is a large screen and works so well navigating around in unfamiliar cities. I was able to transfer all of my previously saved places online. It fits all of our needs.

I haven’t tested all the features, but it is way better than my 8-ish year old Nuvi GPS I had with a smaller screen. Tried it out for a complicated route criss crossing Michigan the other day and was blown away by how much easier to use this unit is. Better touch screen, bigger screen, brighter screen, better voice control, better navigation aids, voice control, stand alone updates without a computer, etc. I like that the user guide is built into the unit along with Trip Advisor ratings. Did everything I needed and then some. And in case any commercial drivers are wondering, it does NOT have the special features needed for commercial truck drivers. You need one of Garmin’s dēzl products for that. My quick speaker phone test didn’t go so well, had volume control issues. Everything else seemed to work pretty well though.

Great GPS for beginnersThis Garman GPS is the best one I have so far I love the screen that goes from one end to another in the big display I can get 6.9 inches it is very clear and I like the Bluetooth to have Wi-Fi on it constant updates when I plug it in to my Wi-Fi at home just a great part of a Garman

After unpacking hooked up to computer. On the gps screen told me it needed update for maps and version. Just press on the screen and downloading starts took about 1 hr. After that a few settings and your ready to go. Easy to use. You can talk to it. I love saying OK Garmin home please and away we go with great turn by turn directions. Love knowing if there is traffic up ahead. Great purchase.

After much research into the latest GPS devices as well as reading many customer reviews,,I decided on the Garmin DriveSmart 65 GPS. And to make a long story short,,JUST WOW, I absolutely love everything about this unit. Especially it's voice activation features and smart phone interface. All handsfree! And the large screen size as well as its well defined maps makes this ideal for my aging eyeballs. I highly recommend this GPS for anyone! Great stuff Garmin!

The screen is a great size and the display is also great. Easy to use. I like the Bluetooth feature.

I always love Garmin products. Large screen makes it easy to read. Bluetooth connection allows me to access texts, calls, and emails handsfree. For anyone traveling, the up ahead information, rest areas, service stations, restaurants, rest areas are very helpful. Spot on with upcoming accidents, road constructions and the detour option is a lifesaver.

Very nice GPS big screen easier to read, easier to type address in with the larger screen just a wonderful wonderful GPS ... Will definitely recommend.

Tremendous improvement over my older TomTom that quit on me. As it has WiFi there is no need to connect to PC to get map updates. Has live traffic, as well. Large easy to read display.

The GPS has a HUGE screen. My children can see the map from the back seat. The phone pairs perfectly with the GPS allowing texts to be read and calls to be hands-free through the GPS. It updates your route based on traffic information.
