The Data is REALLY 4-6 years OLD and they are forcing us to buy the regional 24k packages ($100s) to get current MAPS.... CHAT with GARMIN Rep: “ While the TOPO Us 24k is more detailed, this is generally referring to more frequent TOPO lines. The road information is the same. However, the TOPO 24k was created more recently, within the last 1.5 years. Whereas TOPO 100k may be as much as 4-6 years old. “ SALES PRICE with 100k advertisement is just a selling leader (Garmin SHOULD OFFER updated maps with a NEW purchase like every other software package I have purchased, then I will expect to buy updates every couple years....) ......... Per CURRENT Garmin Policy...... BE PREPARED to immediately spend $100s MORE if you want current maps.
