Does everything I want it to do - tracks accurately using GPS and indoor as well, great apps, love the look and feel. Big but not bulky. Only reason for not full 5 stars is it keeps telling me when my phone is connected or disconnected... need to figure out a way to make that stop :) One thing I kept looking for when I was reading reviews on this was - how well does it fit on a woman's wrist? Happy to say it's just fine! Will attach a picture.

I have very little bad to say about this watch. I love it. It latches on to gps extremely fast, almost as soon as I switch the setting to "run". All on one screen, I can read how many steps I've taken, how many more I need to take for the day, how many miles I've traveled, and an estimate of how many calories I've burned that day. I also always know how much battery is left with just a glance. I often use the interval option for my runs, and it works flawlessly. Many other reviews say that the lighting of the screen is bad, but I haven't had a problem with it in the slightest. It's dimmed if you glance at it, and if you push a button, it lights up more, but in both lit and unlit, I'm able to see the time, date, and battery life of the watch. I do have three things that I've found frustrating, all of which might be fixed by a software update rather than the watch itself. First, If the battery is under 25%, the gps won't latch on. It makes it especially hard for me when I go on my long runs and this occurs. Sometimes gos gets lost in the trees as well, which wouldn't be an issue if you live in New York or Chicago or LA. But I live in Oregon.. So it's an issue. Second, the connection of the watch to the phone doesn't happen when I want it to. I'll go into the app on my phone and it won't connect to the watch and the information is useless until updated. Or I'll try to sync my watch to my phone manually from the watch and it won't be connected. Recently, it's gone up to two days without connecting. Third, and last, I have to hook up my watch to my computer to sync to my computer as there is no way to do it over bluetooth. I almost never check my dashboard from my computer (which gives more information than the phone app) because of this... Otherwise, I love my watch. I can't wait until these updates come in!

The Garmin Forerunner 230 is a great running watch. It accurately tracks your location using GPS, GLONASS or a combination of both. The software on the watch itself is easy to use and the software integration with smartphones and computers is very good. I used to manually log all my runs on Running2Win.com but now the running watch automatically uploads any runs onto Running2Win.com. The only negative thing about this watch is that it isn't the slimmest watch in the world though it is still fairly small for a running watch and it can get uncomfortable at times.

I was really excited when I purchased the Garmin Forerunner 230. So far it has worked great. It seems really accurate measuring my runs/pace and it connected smoothly with my IPhone 5S. If you are looking for a beginner GPS watch with all the bells and whistles, I highly recommend it.

Love the watch! Perfect for indoor/outdoor running and for biking. It seems to be quite accurate, as well as user friendly. I know it is well suited for additional fitness-related activities and apps...but I have been concerned with only a few thus far. Garmin is solid, highly recommended!

I purchased this for my girlfriend. She's an avid runner and needed a new GPS watch to track her mileage. She loves the weight of this watch as well as the battery life. The only thing she doesn't like is it tells her to "move" if she sits too long.

Awesome watch, so far the best one with GPS that I've owned. I read reviews about the display being dimmed and truly you won't even feel it. The battery can last days on one charge.

This is a very versatile watch for the money. It tracks all the metrics that I care to keep track of. I would recommend this watch to anybody that is above the novice level of runner.

This watch has about everything you may need to train for your next race. I picked the one with the HR monitor as it was ended at the time. However it can be purchase later. It was a little difficult to understand compare to my tom tom. I highly recommend this watch to those interesting in running. It comes with great feature. (receive text , track your daily activity an more). Not recommended to use it in OCR races as it is kind of fragile.

Once i charged the watch it has lasted 6-7 days even while using it for biking, running, basketball. The android phone allows me to track my workouts and i love that the watch has a strong glass face that will easily scratch. I would recommend buying this if your in the market for an affordable watch.

Bought this watch for my 14 year old son that runs track for his school. He has been able to pace himself very well with it and he uses the notifications all the time. Great purchase, i like it better than my Polar M400. It finds the GPS signal very quick.

This is an excellent watch for an active person or even someone wanting a nice smart watch. The screen is very clear and large enough to read texts and view activity data on. The band is comfortable and the watch is waterproof up to 50 meters.
