I bought this watch for a few reasons. First as a replacement for my Pebble watch which was aging and about to die, and second as a fitness tracker with GPS. The battery life is great, GPS and heart rate functions work perfectly and the app on the phone works perfectly.

I have been walking 50 miles per Month for several years now. I have used various apps on my iPhone for tracking purposes. I thought about buying a way more expensive Apple Watch before I found this. This GPS watch does everything that I need and want it to do. I love that it also has some smart watch functions like text, call and app notifications from my phone. I do wish there was a little more of a range area between my phone and the watch because you basically have to have the phone right next to you for the watch to get the notifications. But with that being said I love this watch and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to track walks, steps and runs or anyone who wants a entry level smart watch before committing to a more expensive smart watch.

    Great tracker for fitness activities

Don't let the "Forerunner" name make you think that this watch is just for Running. Instead, it's a fitness tracker that's for several activities: Outdoor Running, Indoor Running, Walking, Biking and Cardio. It's also an all day/night tracker for overall health stats. The GPS is used for the outdoor activities and it works great. Well, this is a Garmin product and the company has been the GPS device market for a long time. They get it right. I've been using the Garmin Forerunner 35 for 3 weeks and am very happy with this purchase. The product works as expected. It connects to the Garmin Connect smartphone app to sync the data. The app is well designed and provides a wealth of information to help meet health and fitness goals. Yes, I recommend this product!

Love the quick GPS connection. Also, having the heart rate info is critical. All other features are easy to set up and use and very informative. Highly recommend linking to the Garmin mobile app.

    Great Fitness Watch

The last fitness watch I had from another brand was awful along with their customer service. I had heard great things about Garmin and the Forerunner. So, I did my research one evening and purchased one the next day. I love this watch! It has so many features and I use it daily. I realized from having a Garmin that my last fitness watch was not accurately counting my steps and was a lot more liberal with giving steps that were not really taken. With the Garmin, you have to earn your steps! When you reach your goal for the day, you know you actually completed them. The battery lasts a long time, and this watch does not break out my arm like the last one did. I highly recommend switching to the Garmin brand and the Forerunner 35 model for all of your fitness needs.

The watch is really easy to work. The GPS gives you a map of your courses you run. It great for work out activities. Light weight does not feel like you wearing a watch.

The Forerunner 35 seamlessly integrates with the android app to provide all the fitness data I could possibly want. One minor annoyance is that in the walk mode, the watch does not offer the option to turn off autopause. However the android app does allow that. All the other activity modes allow you to control autopause on the watch itself, which I find useful in different walking situations such a walking the dog vs a fitness walk. Also there is no simple timer mode, nor stopwatch. These two functions are only available within an activity. Otherwise it works very reliably. Battery life is more than 8 days with gps off, and at least one full day with gps on.

The Garmin Forerunner 35 GPS watch is a no-frills, easy to use, easy to set up wearable. My old Forerunner 305 finally lost the ability to hold a charge more than 30 minutes and the 35 replaced it.

Like the functions for the price. Nice having the heart rate monitor at the wrist. Long Battery Life so far. Not a fan of the band..it is already tearing.

I bought this watch because I wanted something basic that would track my walks and bike rides. It works very well for that. I also like it because it has physical buttons instead of a touch screen. Even though that's older technology, I don't accidently hit the watch face and end up on a different screen. I also like the capability of pausing the timer when I'm biking and I stop at a light. When I'm done, it gives both the total time and moving time. All in all, it works very well for me. You can get watches that have much more capability and fancier watch faces but this works very well for tracking my bike rides.

I purchased this watch to replace my TomTom. I am an avid cyclist and runner that hates to wear a chest strap so I opt for the wrist type HR monitor. I l’ve never owned a smart watch so I can speak from that perspective. I didn’t want to spend money on an Apple Watch so this was the closest thing to what I was will to pay. really like the watch and it’s connectivity to my phone. I love receiving texts and call notices but I’d like to be able to answer them via the watch. But it’s not that big of a deal. I really like the fact that the battery lasts a long while on a charge even though I run or cycle every other day. Great watch.

I bought the Garmin to track my milage, time and calories, although it is bluetooth capable, I don't use that function. The screen is bright, even in the mid-day sun. The battery will last days without needing a recharge unlike most smart watches. It does take a few minutes to sync up to the satellites for tracking. It's the perfect product, regardless if you are biking, running or walking. You can interface it with a computer to track goals.
