    Not Worth It

I bought this watch to track my heart beat during the day, regardless if I was exercising. When I took it home and saw it had a sleep tracking option I was excited. But after having the watch for several months it has only disappointed and when I called there customer service I felt like I was only given excuses. The sleep tracking option will only track you as awake if you get out of bed. The other issue I have is that the heart rate monitor will show different results on the watch then on the app. I was told by customer service that the watch will have raw data but the app will clean up the data. I would rather have the raw data then interrupt it myself. The only purpose this watch serves is to track my steps and tell me what time it is. Would return it if I could.

We apologize for the inconvenience, however, we can't change what the apps shows. As well, in order for non-sleep to be tracked the device needs to determine there is movement.

    Garmin Forerunner 35

Just like the Garmin forerunner 15, this Garmin Forerunner 35 suffers from the same exact flaw. The watch strap breaks all the time. This one separates its self from the white connector piece that attaches to the body. The white connector will not come off the body. The body has warped too, so when I tried to connect the new strap it is not positioned correctly. The band goes slanted instead, not touching the body on the one side.

heart rate monitor quit 3rd time I wore the watch

I purchased a 235 before the 35 and returned it because it won't charge when the low battery warning appeared - had the watch for less than one hour! I thought I would have better luck with the 35, but the heart rate monitor quit after just the 3rd use. I am very disappointed with Garmin watches and suggest a different brand, certainly something that doesn't have the Garmin name on it.

Bought this watch for my wife and all I can say there are better options out there for a watch. First the screen is like reading from a nook. Second the app interface for smartphone is so horrible and clunky with numerous bugs. And Third if you are planning to get a watch to read/reply messages or locate phone just get a Samsung/Apple watch or exercise watch get a Fitbit.

Controls are definitely not intuitive to use. Took forever to connect to satellites for GPS. Changing watchbands is complex with little screws to manage. For a little more have now bought a Apple iWatch 3 and have had totally different and positive experience.

Yeah it's meant to be simple however you don't have control over most of the simple things that it does. The Vivoactive HR which is slightly higher absolutely makes the Forerunner 35 an antique.

This thing is simple, but I'd recommend putting the money towards an Apple Watch. Tons more function and purpose with a smart watch.

I would not recommend this product and advise you look at the Forerunner 235. It takes 5 to 10 minutes for the GPS to sync and become ready. Unacceptable!
