This has helped my bf tremendously with his new truck driving job. He doesn't have to worry about being late to stops due to being lost. The only downfall of this product is the expensive updates for new roads and maps.

I found the unit easy to use without resorting to instructions. The routes that it provides are sometimes less than practical. It seems to go for shortest distance rather than practicality. For example; I was routed off the Interstate one exit before the one I would normally use and went thru 7 traffic lights and 1 stop sign rather than go one exit more and go thru 2 stop signs. It may have saved a few feet but cost several minutes. Also on a recent trip it routed me thru several side streets in Boston rather than using one of the main roadways. Frustrating.

I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 205 for use when vacation travelling and so far this little device has been excellent. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a basic GPS for a great price. I absolutely love it!

We purchased this unit a few weeks ago and used it immediately. Bought it at Best Buy on our way out of town and used it on our entire road trip. Was very easy to use and any complaints we would have would be minor. When we returned from our trip, we registered it and tried to update the maps and our problems began. On the Garmin site it does not tell you that if you update to 2010 you will only be able to get part of the US (we finally ended up having to choose which regions we wanted). We are very disappointed that we no longer have what we actually paid for, as we liked the unit and don't need a lot of bells and whistles. Hoping Garmin comes up with a better long-term solution, as there must be many other disgruntled folks out there. If you are looking at Garmin, I would recommend one that has plenty of memory and room for future upgrades.

This GPS is "alright." Wish it would of been a little "smarter." In some instances it would make me do a U turn in the middle of no where when i missed a direction. It also doesn't detect traffic so the estimated arrival time may be off. But overall, it does what it's "suppose" to do, wish the features would justify how much better the product could of been.

I bought it for my husband and he loves it. I would recommend it to all my friends.

For $139.99 I've paid for this GPS, it totally worth the money, I love it!

good product, except have not qwerty keyboard, the letters are difficult to find it. starts quick, easy to handle it.

The unit I had did not work at all well and I had to return it after owning it for two days. It was easy to program in a destination and it seemed to work fine but on several occasions it would get confused about my location and think that I was on a nearby street, it would then say "recalculating route" and proceed to give false directions based on the street it thought I was on. This happened several times in the space of less than 100 miles of driving. I have to believe that my unit was defective because this made the GPS unit totally useless for finding my way around.

updated maps on garmin web site unit stopped working! this worked nice before update. if you have this unit DON'T UPDATE!!!!!!!
