This is an excellent product. No cell service required, fast routing and rerouting options. Split screen offramps is a great feature and highlighted lane usage is extremely helpful with large cloverleaf interstates and highways. "Offgrid" GPS is legit too.

I would recommend this device to anyone looking for an easy to use and accurate GPS device. The traffic updates were great and helped me on a recent trip to Houston.

I've had my old Garmin for too many years, what a nice change. I just love the voice command on this new one. I must say I haven't had it too long so I'm still trying to figure out a few things, like the favorites, but I'm getting there. Would recommend.

Overall the item was very easy to use. It would be nice if the screen was like the 3597. The setup was easy and the volume was great. This is why I chose this model 2597lmt because of the size and volume . I would definitely recommend this product. The only thing is that on a rare occasion the directions would be opposite than where I wanted to go. But most time's the product was correct with the directions.

It is easy to read in all light conditions. I like the larger size and the fact that it has more programs. It has free updates which our old one did not offer.

This is my 3rd Garmin and 2nd one just like this. The first one didn't have free maps update and because it's so expensive to get decent maps , I decided to purchase a new one. It was working just great until my wife decided to get in my car with me. She was so impressed with it that she decided to take ownership of it. Here I am; back with the old one with the old outdated maps. I finally decided to buy a 2nd one. What have to happen did happened. My son who was back home for the holidays from college keep asking for one so I decided to gave it to him for the holidays. So now I am back again with the old one and the old maps. But it will be just a matter of time before I get a new one. Wait for me..... I'll be back.... The old one still working good but in some area with new roads can be confusing. Now that most of the Garmin have free maps upgrades the company should give us free upgrade for our old devices as well. This is the sad reality and the reason I do not give it a 5 starts.

This is an amazing gps with perfect screen size. Only issue was with initial map update which was resolved by technical support , rest it is working fine. Smartlink makes it much more easier to find any address. There is no issue viewing the screen on a sunny day as read in most of the reviews.

This is a nice GPS for the price. It isn't exactly intuitive at times but the learning curve was short. It provides great voice directions and split screen picture for the upcoming change in route. Voice command is a little frustrating at times but I don't think that is unique to this model.

My mom is always on the go. This was a no brainer for her. She has an older car and so having the Bluetooth capability is awesome. Love the touch screen!

We have travelled all over the places since we bought the the new Garmin 2597, it worked wonderfully, we love it! much better than our old one :-) Thank you for creating new products like this.

This is a perfect GPS for those who do not use GPS much. The voice, directions, lane guidance, speed limits etc are all as you would expect from a modern day GPS. But if you are in a big metro area with traffic such as SFO, DC, NYC, do not expect the traffic to be up to date. The traffic guidance kind of lags compared to Google Maps which is still the best for all reasons. I used it multiple times to reroute in heavy traffic and I chose the Garmin and Google maps alternatively a few times. The Google Maps Nav was always more accurate. So that is the reason for me to take out a star rating. And for those accustomed to smartphone screens, the plastic screen feels like oh so 90's. But it is quick and bright enough to get the job done! Bluetooth, points of interests, user interface are as expected. Nothing ground breaking in that perspective, but would satisfy 99% of the users. My verdict would be - a great GPS to have in the glovebox when you do not want to use your smartphone.

This works well, we especially like the ability to find restaurants and attractions in the areas we are driving. The lists generated are comprehensive and are better than our older Garmin GPS units.

Bought at local Best Buy store, unit looks nice, is just the right size for my dash and works perfectly from the start much better than my old Tomtom. With the free lifetime traffic & map upgrades won't have to worry about replacing this unit anytime soon.

I already owned a Garmin for many years and the only reason I had to purchase another was because the last one was unfortunately stolen. I love the Garmin brand gps, easy to use, clear spoken voice guidance and the display functions are great pointing out landmarks, restaurants, etc!

Purchased this product to take a road trip out of the country. Worked great once WE figured out how to type in the destination correctly. Being we were in a vehicle that did not have bluetooth the device worked great once it was synced to the iphone for safe hands free communication.

This product is amazing!!! Best GPS on the market. It's Bluetooth capable; gives very descriptive directions but not too much so that it's annoying; has apps that are available to correspond; shows messages to let you know when it's time for an update. Only negative, is if you ignore those updates it will shut down completely without warning! As in will not turn on at all! Very frustrating if you are out of town at the time, as I was, and it will not turn on. However, once updated it goes back to running like a champ! (Lesson learned. ha!)

I bought this product for my son who is a new driver. I think using this navi instead of using navi on phone and using ur data this navi is well worth it and gives live up to date plus Bluetooth so makes it easier and safer for driver to use. I would definitely buy this navi again

Overall I am very happy with this purchase since I drive a lot for work and this is much safer than looking at my phone and using all of my data on my cell plan. If you don't have bluetooth in your car, this is great to take care of not having to hold your phone while you are driving. Screen is big and easy to see. The only downfall is that when I compare routes to Google Maps the GPS usually takes a little longer route. Even though I have it set for fastest route, not most fuel economical. That is my only negative though.

Real easy to. The trip planner feature is a big help so far no problem. Its about a month and no problems. I like the save trip also very easy to save and recall trips. The price very reasonable because I use for work.

This Garmin is easy to set up, easy to use, and works like a charm. It has not failed us once. Unexpected but awesome, it even alerts my daughter when she is speeding (which is way too often).
