Was looking for a GPS device for off-roading. Came across this and has everything I need. Well constructed, it is a big unit. Bonus is RV routing which I also value. Now if I can just use it more!

Overall I am happy with this GPS which is why it gets 4 stars. What you get for 700 dollars is a little "thin" and I could almost drop it to 3 stars just on cost value alone. I would like to see you be able to reset certain features, such as the altimiter/pressure screen, without have to do a full default reset of the entire device. The screen "buttons" require a laser guided precision when you touch them or you will find your self setting waypoints or moving your maps when you are just trying to use the + button to zoom in. Using the active tracks and saving tracks is very easy to use as is setting waypoints on the fly. The off road maps so far seem to be mostly accurate to real life with there only having been a couple of times I ended up on a dead end road that showed going somewhere or on a road that simply just wasn't on the map. The garmin explore website feels like something that was made as a high school project. It is slow, seems to experience connectivity issues more than not, but it is a neat tool in general and the autmatic syn between the online account and the device (when the device is connected to wifi) is really nice. Overall this feels like something I should have been able to purchase for 500 dollars as the 700 dollar tag feels like I was getting taken a bit.

Works great and does what it claims. I enjoy the tv portion of it and how you can put max speed you travel and it gives realistic time of arrival off that speed not the roads max speed. The maps have times when they are outdated a bit but for the most part it’s always correct.

Used it for two trips and returned it. On road navigation was about 10 years behind Google Maps. Off road navigation was like using Gaia with out any downloads. Which isn't too bad but Gaia is basically free. Glad I was able to get all of my money back. A big swing and a miss by Garmin.

It’s just a cheap android tablet with Garmin OS which crashes every 20 minutes. Doesn’t work for off-road navigation very well won’t follow trails just wants to go straight. There are so many apps that you can on your iPad with better detail and resolution.
