Buttons too sensitive, and not sensitive enough

I'm a runner. The start/stop button will sometimes not begin the timer when pressed as intended, then I notice a mile or 2 into my run (maddening). Similarly if I don't tighten the strap enough then my wrist will trap the button and stop the watch at random points during my run, I often don't notice for miles (again, just maddening). I wanted to find 1 watch to do it all, wear as a stylish timepiece and use running. The functions on this are amazing, I love the look of it, but it is quickly becoming unusable for me to run with, disappointing!

Absolutely loving my new Garmin Watch! Does everything I wanted and more! Bit of a tech geek, so… it tracks our boating adventures, tracks my fitness, and sleep, as well as all the stuff I haven’t figured out yet! Still learning it, it is very easy to use! Battery last a very long time! Love it!
