Set up with garmin 1040 was a breeze. Riding with the varia adds a huge boost of awareness around you and your bike. Won't ride on roads without it anymore.

Wont ride without it now. I have it paired with my Garmin Edge 830 and my phone. I ride with earbuds and this allows me to have audible notification when a car is approaching.

Love, love, love this addition to my bike! It works as advertised. Even when riding next to a road, it has a firm bead on the approaching vehicles. The LEDS are super bright, to the point where I worry about perturbing an already impatient driver! I want them to see me, not get more impatient with a bike rider. Sharing the road safely is critically important!

A must have when you ride anywhere basically. Safety first.

I pair it with Garmin edge 840. Works great so far! Wish it take type C connector for faster charge.

The radar feature is awesome! On my Garmin Edge it alerts me a car is approaching, but also shows how close they are, and how quickly they are coming. Great addition if you are riding near cars often.

This light works well Independant of alerting devices that something is behind you. I am unable to connect to my Garmin bike computer.
