Compatabke with my old gps. Worked right out of the box and saved me from purchasing a new gps at this moment.

I was not able to find this Garmin vehicle charger in the on line catalog so I took my old one to my local store and a store associate looked was able to find on line and ordered it for me. It arrived to my house in 5 business days. And, it works great.

I do not go anywhere without my Garmin and thus needed to purchase new power cable when mine went bad.

My gps Garmin nuvi 2597 model ,car charger work fine and charge full all the time.

The only issue was finding the right part while I was in the store. The first two clerks read the package and decided it would not be compatible with my Garmin. Finally in asking a third clerk which item was compatible with my GPS unit he advised the same item the first two had rejected and he was right. It worked just fine.

This is the literal Garmin brand replacement for any TA20 Garmin cord. Works exactly as the old one did.

I was shocked when my Garmin GPS outlasted its own plug of all things and was sure it would be a huge pain to find a replacement for this three-year-old but still good piece of invaluable navigation hardware. I was equally shocked to find an identical replacement plug almost immediately in Best Buy's GPS section. Hopefully, I'll get another three years out of it.
