I noticed a small nick in the cable for my navigation unit. I think the cat chewed it a bit. It's portable so it doesn't get used a lot anymore. When I went to use it, it kept powering off. Although the cord wasn't broken all the way, I suspected it was damaged. Best Buy showed one in stock. I plugged it in and power restored!

I plugged it in and it worked! My previous charger died due to a broken ground wire. I decided the strain relief was not adequate. On the new one, I put black electrical tape in four places where the wire joined with larger plastic supports. I hope it lasts longer. A better product would charge both GPS and cell phones.

My old Garmin charger did assembled itself and this replacement charger saved the vacation. It is always a problem when older technology needs a replacement part. I was tickled that Best Buy had the proper charger to save our older GPS when we wanted to take a 1000 mile vacation.

Works well for my garmin drivesmart 71 now i can use it on long distance road trips

The plug that came with my Garmin GPS stopped working, and this plug was the perfect replacement. It fits perfectly in the outlet in my car and in the plug on the back of the GPS.

I replaced an old charger with this one. The old one has the traffic conditions antenna in the cable but this one does not contain it. However, it does work in my car and on my motorcycle.

I had purchased a new car and the old GPS vehicle charger did not fit and I did not get a new car with an inbuilt GPS. After several attempts by the Best Buy Staff, especially two gentlemen, we got the Garmin set up and it is working fine. In fact, after being in an auto with a built in GPS, I am glad my auto did not come with one and I will replace this Garmin (as it is aging) with another Garmin.

A lesson relearned. Yes, long lived electronics do sometimes conk out. I wasn't ready to give up on my faithful GPS. The original power cable was the source of the problem. The replacement power cable restored my faithful companion and it saved me a good bit of money.

It was a very inexpensive replacement and less bulky than the original. The connector actually fits more tightly than the original which should allow it to last much longer than the old one. Very happy with the cord and quite inexpensive!!

Fits perfectly with my gps. Plugs in and stays in place.

Great power cable, thought I needed a new Garmin GPS but the original power cable was broken. Purchased a new one power cable and my Garmin GPS works perfectly. The power cable is reasonable price and work great.

My van is hard wired with my GPS and it was in the body shop so I had to take a rental van on vacation. Could not find a rental with a GPS so I purchased this to use with the one I took from my own van. Worked just fine and I am sure I will need it again sometime.

I bought another charger off the internet first which basically works but my GPS came up in computer mode and the connector doesn't have the 90 degree angle. This charger is an original Garmin, not a copy. Works fine and the price was fair.

Got this charger for my GPS so i can Use it in other vehicles. Since i wired the original cord into my dash with an adapter for 12v. Glad to know that garmin gps systems all use the same type of charging port.

Purchased this cable, because the original one, unfortunately got damaged as I closed the car door on it. Looked on line to directly purchase it from garmin, but saved a lot of money by purchasing this one at Best Buy, and it works with all the features of my GPS.
