This is a great alternative to the suction holder. I like to be able to pick my Garmin up and look at it more closely and this makes that easy. It might be a little large for some cars but it stays where you place it.

Was looking for a non-windshield mount. Found this. Works great. Wanted something easy to move around and not leave marks on windows. This works great on any dashboard and any(almost) slope. Easy to move around.

Second purchase of this Garmin dashboard mount! The first purchase has survived 4 summers of daily (unprotected, no sunscreen) sun. Needed second mount for separate vehicle. Great dashboard mount system for Nuvi 1490!

This is the best mount I have found. Very easy to use and can be placed anywhere on dash. I have used in several vehicles. It did slip a little on the curved dash. I just used a gel mat under it and works great

The vehicle mount securely holds the Garmin GPS to the dashboard in normal driving. Only abrupt stops cause sliding of the GPS. The mount enables the GPS assembly to be quickly removed from the dashboard for storage.

I love this holder! The suction cup holders would always detach from my window at the most inconvenient times. This bean bag holder snaps securely into place and stays where you put it. No regrets or issues.

I have had this mount for a couple months now and it stays in one place on the dashboard without sliding around. The mount locks to the base which is great seeing how the suction cup mounts fall off all the time.

This vehicle mount works great in any vehicle I take it in. Has never slipped and stays put wherever you place it. Great for using in multiple vehicles without permanetly putting in mounts. Would highly reccomend.

This device holds a gps screen very nicely. The holder holds onto the dash very well, no slipping on turns.

I got this gps mound for my Granddaughter when I bought her a Garmin. I like this design of weight placement vs window suction. It was recommended by Best Buy tech person, and I am glad I got this one. It is easy to set up, easy to use and versatile for placement and swivel of the gps for easy viewing. It's easy to remove and replace for use when storing out of sight with the gps. Can use it on dash or console. It stays in place. It was a good buy.

Our RV dash is not level and I was concerned it would not say in place. Just completed an almost 1000 mike trip and no problems Stayed right where we put it.

Works much better than the windshield mount. The problem with those now is that the windshields are so steeply sloped in modern cars even I can hardly reach the bottom of the windshield from the driver's seat to stick it on. This thing is heavy and stays put and if I needed my wife to pick it up to operate it for some reason it's easy whereas with the windshield mount it was impossible for her to even reach it much less get it detached and then attached again.

This GPS mount fits perfectly into the small space on my F-150 dash (probably designed for holding change or a cell phone). It is weighted well enough to hold the GPS securely. I like being able to view my GPS close to the instruments on the dash rather than looking to the top of my windshield. This also prevents the wire from dangling down through my field of view.

Bought this for my husband because he Garmin kept falling off the windshield. This works great! No more having to worry about it falling while you're driving.

We've had Garmin GPS' ever since they came out, and have used different holders, but this one is the best! It conforms to your dash and actually stays there. Would recommend it to anyone with a Garmin.

Well made product that brings the garmin nuvii closer to you than a windshield mount. Very convenient and well made.

This vehicle mount was exactly what I was looking for! Easy to pack with my GPS in my carry-on for use in rental cars and perfect in my own vehicle.

I did not want to have a suction type mount on my windshield and decided to give this type of mount a try and I am completely satisfied with it. It sits on my dashboard and does not slide around.
