Nice activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch does the basic things. You can start and stop an activity and use an optional chest heart rate strap. Also does steps, calories and sleep. Since it doesn't automatically sync it runs the battery down on the phone. If you unpair it from the phone and only sync it once a week it works ok on the phone battery. Really? Who wants to keep pairing the watch weekly? I took it back. If you aren't worried about your phones battery lasting or pairing the watch, it's great.

Excellent for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Price. Picked this up for about $55. Battery. No need to charge. Comfort. Strap is easily adjustable. Accurate. Cons: Sometimes freezes and doesn't count steps, but seems to catch up. The move bar will sometimes not clear if you walk and then stop to tie your show or something.

Great starter activity tracker!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that this activity tracker doesn't need to be placed on a charger regularly. It comes with a one year battery and it easy links to your smart phone. It tracks acurately with very little error. Also, I'm very happy with the colorful wrist band that I purchased through the Garmin website!

EXCELLENT BASIC FITNESS TRACKER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a basic fitness tracker for a reasonable price and I'm glad I found this one. It fits well, especially with a locking ring, it measures steps and sleep, it has a stop watch and it syncs with the Garmin Connect app so both my Garmin running watch and fitness tracker data are in one place. Best of all, it doesn't need constant recharging like my wife's Fitbit.

Simple, but excellent, fitness activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I was looking for a replacement for my Fitbit tracker, I was actually skeptical of purchasing this product due to professional reviews saying that you are better off buying a Fitbit. Reasons for that is simply aesthetics, which I am not gonna lie the Fitbit is actually better looking. After all, the Garmin has an almost 80s retro look and feel to it. However, once you get past the uh, "80s look", and concentrate to its performance then it is actually well worth the money. This product has two big advantages over Fitbit in that it is waterproof and you can actually swim with it. Yes, that's right...all Fitbit except for one at the time of this writing are not waterproof. So yes, even though other professional reviews will give the edge to Fitbit in terms of "better functionality" , the Garmin Vivofit 3 actually does more since you can track your swimming workout, nor worry about sweat and/or rain damaging your tracker. The second advantage the Garmin Vivofit 3 has (even other Garmin trackers) is that it uses a battery which gives you a year long power supply. This in turn means you don't have to worry about charging it every night. The only cons that I could think of aside from the design is the wrist band. Instead of using a traditional wrist band, it has a rather "locking mechanism" which takes a bit getting used to it.

Garmin Vivofit 3
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd Garmin Vivofit as I keep upgrading when the new version comes out. Tracks everything I want to track (sleep, steps, calorie intake, hydration, etc.) and appears to be quite accurate. Totally waterproof, I never take it off. Highly recommend!

Great little tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love that this device has a battery and does not have to be charged. The Vivofit 3 is rated 5ATM, so it's waterproof. I can get points for my swimming! Love that I can swap out the bands. It is easy to use and I highly recommend it to my friends.

Good basic activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am really enjoying my VivoFit 3. It tracks my steps and shows how many I need to complete my daily goal. It is easy to sync to the app on my iPhone, where I can also track sleep data, and connect the MyHealth app to track my food calories. I also bought 8 bands online for about $2 each to change the color/pattern I wear every day. The only problem is that the VivoFit doesn't always track/credit time on the elliptical machine at the gym. Not sure if this is something it will "learn" through the Move ID. Overall I recommend this tracker.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Vivofit 3 because it is waterproof and does not need to be charged. The battery is supposed to last 1 year which is great! It is pretty accurate and very comfortable on my wrist. Sometimes I even sleep with it on and I usually don't like to sleep with a watch on.

Does the job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started with a another brand watch style. It couldn't determine when I fell asleep. The Garmin is accurate doing that and tracking my steps. I also like the battery that is replaceable and supposed to last a year.

Nice fitness tracker.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes some getting used to, due to lack of documentation with the product. Documentation can be downloaded from the Internet. Easy to set up and use with your smartphone. I would recommend to friends, however, I haven't used any other fitness trackers. 4 stars at a minimum.

Good fitness tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed this fitness tracker so far. It tracks all kinds of activity. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the wristband. Mine has a tendency to fall off my wrist from time to time. It sometimes fall of while I am sleeping. This is not good.

Good device, still too big for an 8YO
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a good job. No backlight is inconvenient but not a deal-breaker. However, even the small size is too small for my 8YO son. It misses approximately 1500-2000 steps per day. Otherwise, a decent purchase if you can get it for $50 or less.

not quite the FitBit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife was looking for a replacement for her fit bit that had broken and was no longer in production - this is a reasonable replacement but there is no light feature for the watch and it does not sync as easy listening to her...

Nice basic fitness tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace another Garmin tracker that I lost. Compared to my previous tracker, I like the backlit display (which my previous tracker didn't have) but the numbers are smaller so I need to carry my reading glasses with me when I go on walks. This tracker also has a stopwatch function which I haven't taken the time to figure out...however I do have a knack for accidentally starting the stopwatch when I'm scrolling through the display. So far this tracker is nicely meeting my needs to track steps and to integrate with the My Fitness Pal app that I use to track food consumption.

Birthday gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband gave me this for my birthday and I love it. I wore it on a trip to Europe and it accurately tracked my steps and sleep. I also like the subtle reminder to get up and move when I've been sitting for way too long. The only *minor* issue I have is with the reminder. It beeped even when I had met 300+% of my daily goal as well as when we were traveling and there was no way I could get up and walk. Other than that minor thing, this is an excellent fitness watch.

On land or in the pool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having read revws of different models/brands I was skeptical whether I would find a tracker that would fit my routine of daily walking & water aerobics 4 times a week. I feel I am getting good readings for both. I still use a flip phone so I was thrilled when the BB sales person said he had a waterproof tracker that would sync to my computer or a phone. I have gone as long as 6 days at a time before syncing. Great price too!
