The Garmin band has a bright and large display. Moving through the menu is an easy swipe. The icons are easy to see and understand without the manual. The included heart rate band is very accurate. The band fit is secure and comfortable. It is much more attractive than other brands. It easily accessories formal wear. I have not found any thing I do not like about the Vivosmart.

I purchased this tracker for my grandson - 14 yo -he wears it all the time - says it works great and is easy to use - does everything he wants it to do - reminds you to move if you are still for too long. I had purchased an unknown brand last year for him which he could never get to link to any device to download the info. This one works perfectly.

Enjoy it so far. Easy to use and love the small size. Have had it for about a month and already having issues with the heart monitor. The activity is set for an hour but it goes off sometimes right after I've moved. Not sure what's going on with that. Like some of the other features as well.

I liked the product. The design is perfect and it has really light material and useful screen but it is easily scratched. I returned it because it is impossible to measure heart rate without the strap. I would recommend this to whom does not prefer to measure heart rate.

    Nice Fitness Band

I bought the Garmin Vivosmart fitness band about three weeks ago. This is a replacement and upgrade to my Nike Fuel Band. Bought it with the heart rate strap and this one can go down to 160 feet of water. I'm a scuba diver and I got tired of take off my old band every time I went into the water. I liked the way Nike's Fuel Band clasped and how curved everything was. The closest Fitness Band with all the features I wanted was the Garmin Vivosmart. It has vibration to inform you of Alarms, Messages and anything else you have set. It also has heart rate monitor and you can buy the sensor so you can ride bikes. You can read Text messages and emails from your band. Normally I just read Text messages and just who the emails are from because the display only has room for a few words on it at a time. You do receive caller Id on the Band. One issues I had was the app Garmin Connect. It had to be reinstalled on my phone because I was having communication issues between the band and phone. Once reinstalled everything works as advertised. Second issue was the sleep monitoring...When you set everything up for the first time it asks you what is your bed and wake up time. Doing so the Band puts the information into your Dash Board so you can view it after the first night. Second night nothing... Third night nothing... Then I learned you can go into the Dash Board and manually type in your sleep time and it will place the information into the Dash Board for that day. Did more research and found out you have to tap on the Moon icon to tell the band your going to sleep and then double tap and press and hold your finger for a few second to wake it up. Once in sleep mode the band will give you directions how to wake it up. Now my Band places the sleep data into the Dash Board so I can see it! Band has a brightness control and a auto brightness setting. You can set the orientation of the band to left or right wrist. Also it will scroll vertically or horizontally. Vivosmart automatically connects through Blue Tooth but you do have to have WiFi for it to sync data to the Garmin Connect app. You can sync your fitness data to the My Fitness Pal app which allows you to keep tabs on your diet intake. (you can scan bar codes and it will automatically input all the food info). Garmin Vivismart gives you the option of always returning to lets say Time or you can set it to last place viewed. To move through settings you tap and swipe. Very easy to move around in. The Garmin heart rate band is water proof up to 5' but will not send data to the Band because of interference from the water. Charging the Garmin Vivosmart Fitness Band you have to place it in a clamp like charger. Not the easiest charger I've used but not hard either. First charge was done in about a week. Then I wanted everything displayed on my Band and bumped up the brightness. Lasted 4 days so FYI on that. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!!!

It was a gift for my son. He loves gadgets and it buzzes him every hour for inactivity. Great!

It is too complicated with having to hook up to a computer to charge and the chest strap for heartrate is a real pain.

I purchased for son for Christmas. He is very "picky" about everything and he is very happy with this. I had researched and found this to be the best one.

I wanted to love this product but it won't stay connected to my Android phone 4.4.3. Apparently Garmin support acknowledges this issue but is blaming it on Android instead of taking ownership of the problem and fixing it. I can't believe Garmin would ship a product that doesn't work. Returning it.
