    HR Monitor not close to accurate

    I had been going back and forth on buying a fitness tracker, but when I decided to I really liked the sound of this one because of the HR monitor. My GF has a regular Vivosmart and I like the features of it. Even though the reviews were mixed, I took a chance and got it anyway. I wore it for a few hours before and during a workout to see how it worked. I was really disappointed at how inaccurate the HR monitor was, it wasn't even in the ball park. I tried moving it around on my wrist, even turned it 180 degrees so the sensor was on the inside of my wrist, all with the same result. Also, it had to be in broadcast mode to continually show HR during workout and anytime I bumped it against my body, the display would ask me if I wanted to continue broadcast mode (very annoying). It has some great features, but until Garmin works out the bugs, I would avoid this one.

    I like Garmin products so I hate harpooning this product. I purchased it primarily for the heart rate monitor since it was time to upgrade my Polar unit. I never could get the heart rate monitor to work, even after calling customer support. In addition, the screen was too small to read. I did like the sleep monitor feature and found it interesting. I returned it and purchased the Polar A300. It's large and clunky but I can read it and it's a better fit for what I wanted.

    Spent weeks trying to find the right fitness band for my fiancee. Bought her the vivofit or whichever and once I gave it to her, she had me return it for this and all she does is rave about it. The app is awesome and the look is very stylish on your wrist.Ake sure you get the right size. She has little wrists and had to get the small.

    This is easily one of the single best things I've ever purchased. After using it for one day I've purchased one for each of my family members. I would recommend this to a friend!

    replaced 3x in 45 days

    I love this band but I have had to replace the band 3x in the last 45 days. Generally it becomes unresponsive or unreadable with streaking lines instead of the LED working. It is too bad Garmin is a company I would think would test product before marketing to public. Check the internet for endless reports on the blogs and Garmin's site. They will replace it but the product definitely should be pulled off market until they resolve issues.

We have made improvements with over all responsiveness on the touch screen when using the Garmin Express application to update the unit’s software.
