It worked great for about two weeks, then unexpectedly it wouldn't charge. The device isn't damaged. At this point, I don't know if it is the cable or the device itself. I have a hard time spending $30 on another cable, if that isn't the real problem. I'm going to be returning the Vivosmart and buying something else.

If you have not already returned the device, Garmin Customer Care would be happy to troubleshoot the device. One recommendation would be to ensure that the charging contacts are cleaned. Rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab are recommended to confirm that any residue is not blocking the device from charging. Product Support would also be happy to assist you with further troubleshooting.
