Pairs with iPhone easily but doesn't stay connected. Steps tracker seems accurate although the stairs tracker definitely isn't.

Purchased solely as a heart rate monitor. Unable to read real time heart rate via app without constantly syncing. Disappointing.

This is an adequate HR monitor. Not very accurate when running or cycling but gives a reasonable estimate on distance and HR.

This product has a lot to offer and it would be great if it worked properly. I liked having the weather and the extras available to see without picking up my phone. I was having an issue with the lack of steps calculated and stairs climbed. I tested this one day and literally ran up two flights of steps and it never registered. I need an accurate tracker and this product was not it.

    Better than Microsoft Band 2

I initially bought Garmin Vivosmart HR and returned it for MS Band 2 based on reviews. After about two weeks with MS Band 2 I realized Garmin Vivosmart HR was the best product for me for the following reasons: 1) longer battery life allows me to wear it for days without recharging it daily as with MS Band. 2) very comfortable compared to MS Band that I could wear it 24/7. 3) waterproof means I don't have to take it off when showering or washing hands. 4) heart rate and calorie tracking during exercise was much more accurate with Vivosmart HR than with MS Band 2. 5) I found the sleep tracking on the Vivosmart HR to be more reliable than with MS Band 2. Overall, while the MS Band 2 has other features that this product does not have such as bigger and brighter screen, weather, and customizable exercises, I found Vivosmart HR to be the perfect and most effective health tracker for me. It does exactly what I need and I am very happy with it.

I got the Vivosmart HR as a gift this Christmas. I have in the past owned a Jawbone UP24 and a Fitbit Flex. Overall, I love this tracker. It's fairly accurate and comfortable on my wrist to wear full time. The display is great and since I'm not allowed to have my phone out at work, it's really nice being able to get text and alerts on the tracker. I also love that it's water resistant and I don't have to worry about taking it off to shower, a feature I hated about the Fitbit. Negatives. I don't like that it doesn't have a battery gauge to keep track of your battery life. It's vibrates and the gauge shows when you are low but I would like a little more notice. I also am not thrilled about the use of the app. While I like the overall layout of the app so much more than Fitbit and jawbone, the band does not consistently sync to it. Sometimes it requires multiple attempts to sync it. While this is annoying it's not a deal breaker, I mean with a digital display you can just look at your stats without the app open. I also don't like that that only 3rd party app available right now is my fitness pal. Garmin, please allow more apps to be accessed!! Ugh! Overall, I love this band. With a few tweaks to the app this would by far be the best product out there. I had a Fitbit and did not like it at all. If you can look past the few issues I have found then this is a great HR tracker for the money.
