Has plenty of features for someone who is looking for a smart watch to track activities and bpm. Has gps and works well when even when my phone isn’t close by. Sometimes messages don’t show on it but if you sync it Reconnects. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a new watch because my Apple Watch was getting older and not keeping up. I didn’t necessarily want a watch that kept all of my phone stuff but some thing that I could use for tracking fitness. This watch is so awesome. It fits perfectly and is great for when I work out. I don’t have any complaints whatsoever.

Love this Garmin watch. I only wish I had opted for the music-on-board option as I've started running a lot more and would like music some of the time. My son has the music option and loves pairing it with wireless headphones. I get lots of compliments on it. There are a few minor complaints worth noting: - the small band that secures the extra length of the watchband (so it doesn't flap around) broke in a year and I have to buy an entirely new band - I can't just replace this part so for now, I am using a rubber band - almost the same color as the rose gold so it blends in, lol. Same thing happened to my son's watch. - it is easy to change the widgets accidentally - the button on the side is very sensitive - my own hand, when bending the wrist, can activate the settings and change them, without me knowing. It can be worn on either side, so perhaps switching it around would help, but I like wearing it as traditional watch. - the "flights' counter is miserable. I've gotten flights of stairs in the car driving (alone, and not playing air guitar), on the treadmill, and when having a particularly animated conversation. Other metrics seem fine - steps. HR are good. But it can't tell you take any steps when mowing the lawn or pushing something, like a cart or stroller. I get about 2000+ steps mowing our lawn, but lucky if this shows 50. Not a big deal, but when you are in a long streak and trying to keep it going, this can make or break you!

I like it better than the Fitbit

I like all the features. I primarily use it for running. The face is much bigger than my previous Fitbit. I can actually see all the data without my glasses. My only complaint is that it easily is "bumped" and goes back to the option screen that asks me with watch face I want. I added leather straps which dress it up.

I've been using the first vivoactive...loved it! But I wanted a more feminine version. I mostly use the features for running, biking and hiking...nothing beats Garmin. Right out of the box I was able to enjoy the features: text, phone, email alerts; control music; check heartrate; etc. I am loving the additional features of the vivoactive 3.

    Nice, but not accurate

I got this Garmin after I had to send my Samsung into the manufacturer. I like the Vivoactive, however it doesn't keep up with the steps accurately. Evidently if you don't swing your arms it doesn't keep up with the total steps (found this on a Google search). So if you are mowing the yard or doing something that your arms are stationary even if walking, it won't give you an accurate count. If you are up walking it may even vibrate to get up and move if you aren't moving your upper body at the same time. That being said, the other features are nice. It has several work out options and you can copy them to set up something custom for your wants/needs.

Great watch for people that are active

One of the better activity tracking watches you’ll find anywhere. Got mine 2 years ago through my insurance rewards program and it was much better than my previous watches. Bought this one for my wife and so far she likes it a lot better than her Fitbit. The apps and tracking capabilities on these watches are second to none. I do weight training 6 days a week and this watch can identify almost every lift I do just based on the motions and logs the lift itself. For the price this watch is hard to beat even with the newer model out. I usually don’t submit reviews or praise many tech devices but this one does everything I could ever need it to do. This watch has helped me drop a little over 50 lbs and go from around 30% body fat to a little under 20% now. If you’re outgoing and serious about your workouts and when I say workouts garmin actually has an app you can add to your watch for about any type of workout then I would seriously consider getting one of the garmin watches. Plus the gorilla glass is basically unscracthable which is big for me with my job and the workouts I do.

Enjoy my garmin so far, has heart rate, steps, miles, and elevation and gps and other features. I have a lil bigger wrist and the watch face was a good size...wasn't sure about the white band but it actually doesnt get dirty easily and not hard to keep clean it end up being a good feature i enjoy.

This watch is easier to use than my Garmin 245 was. I have an office job and it looks nice enough to wear to work, you can't go wrong with rose gold on white. The watch connects to my phone and syncs easily, and from what I can tell it is very accurate. Highly recommend!

This is the third Garmin I had to get. The first two had battery fire. So far no problems. Best Buy has been so good to me about the returns and have even given me suggestions if this one goes bad. I would recommend them to everyone.

The only bad thing I can say is that i dislike how dirty the band gets and also how when on the elliptical or bike, you have to be moving your wrist for the watch to calculate the calories. I love it though. Every now again my steps reset but it's only happened 3times in 3 months.

Great watch to track your activity. I had the forerunner 35 prior and that one would need to charge every 7-9 days. This watch needs to charge every 5.

Got this for my daughter and she loves it, tracks swimming well and even counts types of strokes. It is also very accurate on step counts and the battery life has been impressive. It also does not too big on her wrist even though she has a more petite frame.
