Excellant smartwatch!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband has thanked me many times over for this Garmin Vivoactive 3 Smartwatch. His previous smartwatch was okay but he said this one is much better. It does everything that he needs it to do and he is finding out more and more of extra features that he didn't previously know about. Also, the battery is lasting him at least 5 or more days before needing a charge. I would buy this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a smartwatch.

Good buy
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I both got one to replace our fitbits after wanting both a smart watch/fitness tracker. It has all your features like step tracking, sleep, heart rate with some added cook features like stress and period tracking. You can download extensions for it, like golf course previews and scorecards which my husband loves. It's also decently priced for everything it does.

Better than Fitbit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had 3 different kinds of fitbits. ALL three stopped working around 30 days and I had to get them replaced. It was ridiculous. So I refused to get another one. I read the reviews about Garmin and figured I would try it out. Price is very reasonable and it’s actually a lot better than the fitbits I had. Easier to download, user friendly and much better for workouts. Definitely recommend.

Great watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace an older Vivoactive HR. So far has been great. Lighter weight than my old one. Hard to know it is there. Battery does not last quite as long as I would like between charges, but might be due to some of the features I am using via the watchface I downloaded. Still get 4-5 days between charges if not using GPS for activities. I like being able to see texts/alerts even when I am recording an activity.

Value Buy with Tons of Features
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this rightly-priced smart watch with plenty of features. As a value buyer and someone who loves technology, I highly recommend this one to anyone who has been waiting or is due for an upgrade. If you are a trendy person, this one can be customized in many combinations - including changing straps with ease, colors and designs on the dial to match your outfit, etc.

Excellent daily watch with added capabilities
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great piece of wearable tech. It supports all the major fitness tracking features in a easy to use and sleek package. Its a good looking watch and the customizable watch faces through the Garmin connect app allow you to make it suitable for any occasion. Build quality is good to haven't gotten a single scratch or dent while wearing it everyday and while working out.

Great watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the original Vivoactive and I really enjoyed that watch. The addition to this watch of the heart rate monitor has been greatly appreciated. Allows for more accurate calorie burn counting, and also allows me to monitor my heart rate. The new look of the watch is also a welcomed change. It no longer looks out of place at work like the first generation.

Good deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.85% of Garmin-935 features at under 60% the cost. There are a few things still to fix in the UI, but that's not a surprise on the first release of a product.

Excellent GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this watch. I wore it for two weeks with the Samsung Frontier. both were the same price. The Vivioactive was so light and I hardly knew it was on, it was perfect size for someone like me with small wrists. The Frontier was a beast compared and liked the bigger size. The notifications came and it paired with pixel 2, but if I walked away from my phone too far it disconnected all the time. The screen was not as beautiful and clear as the Frontier. However for a workout the watch it's great if you run, bike, golf, do gym stuff. Could not find how to map my hikes though. However the Altimeter was great. In smartwatch terms I liked the Frontier better it gave me more details about my notifications and reminders. For that the Frontier won all day long. I decided to go with the Frontier, I know that sounds crazy but for what I mainly wanted it for it felt like a more solid build for $300 and delivered better Bluetooth connection, and the smart capabilities that exceeded what Garmin vivioactive could for the same cost.

Better than when first release!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember getting it when first released. Today's version offers pretty much the same operating system/software found in the Fenix 5. I have had ZERO issues with the heart rate monitor being steady - DURING WEIGHTLIFTING!!! The supposed time when the heart rate is inaccurate on these watches. Such is not the case. Snappy touch screen. More than enough legibility indoors. And if not, THAT'S WHAT THE BACKLIGHT IS FOR!!! Download a watchface called Optimus HR. You will love it. The dark background watchfaces are the ones that I am certain are prompting people to complain about reading difficulty when looking at the watch. Optimus HR has a white background with all texts being whatever color you choose them to be. Steps are accurate. Calories are accurate. Notifications come through promptly. Vibration is more than noticeable. Soon Garmin will bring the price back up. GET IT AT 149 BUCKS. You can't go wrong. The strap is comfortable. The watch is solid and just the right size. A steal at 149 bucks.

Gogogadget heartattack!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty trick device this is. Heart rate, elevation, gps, this is all you need and not the overrated apple watch. You can monitor your heart closely (this badboy goes up to 213 bpm maybe more) so you can tell if you need to go straight to the ER to get a stent. I'd buy again when I get out this hospital.

Great starter fitness watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch will monitor steps, stairs, and heart rate. The heart rate monitor seems to be fairly accurate. The steps and stairs is as accurate as the Fitbit that I had. The GPS has locked satellites within 30 seconds every time I have started a run. Treadmill runs are accurate after calibration, but seem to vary from machine to machine. I love the garmin connect ecosystem

Does all it says and more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace the original Vivoactive. Fits much better on the wrist. Has added exercises that the original Vivoactive did not have like Elliptical. Was concerned at first because the battery was draining very quickly. Read online to charge it 100 per cent and then turn it off and then back on. Did this and it did the trick.

Battery life is horrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the watch is very good with one major flaw. Garmin states 7 days battery life so I had a real life expectation of 4-5 days. After 6 weeks of usage I get 1-2 days max and that is with only 1-2 total hours of GPS usage. A preloaded hiking setting would be a nice addition. Other than battery life I have really enjoyed this watch.

First Smart Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did lots of research and narrowed it down to the Garmin Vivoactive 3, vivoactive 3 music or Apple Watch 3. While I really wanted the Apple Watch since I’m a fan of Apple’s products and how well they work, the short battery life was a deal breaker. I didn’t see the value in the additional cost for music storage on the vivoactive 3 music version watch since I didn’t see me using that feature. So far I’ve been very happy with my purchase. I like the look and feel of the watch. I had tried the original style Fitbit (no watch in it), but the silicone band around the entire device was annoying during sleep, and it was not waterproof. I did not keep that for long. This watch has neither of those issues.

Much Improved Vivo Active
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was an owner of the Original Vivo Active. It was a good sports watch that performed well. When the Vivo Active 2 came to market I thought it was a big disappointed and a step back. Come the 3 and Garmin is back on track to creating a good overall mid-priced sports watch. I have now had mine for about 1-1/2 months and I am very pleased with the watch. My only complaint it would be battery life. With the Active 1, if I turned off GPS when not in use, I could go one week to 8 days without having to charge it. If I can get 3-4 days with the new one, I am lucky. But it is worth it. GPS locks up quickly and it is accurate to a 0.1 mile as compared to a certified 10K course. Garmin did a nice job with its re-design and performance. The 4-field data screen is a great option and the ability to show the time on one of them is an added bonus. You will not be disappointed with the watch.

Very Satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sor far I'm really satisfied with my descision! Once I figured out the golf/GPS feature. Battery life is 4 days if using the GPS. I didn't want the Apple Watch, way too expensive and it's only good for Apple phones. This gives me some flexibility, I have an Iphone 8. So far no issues. I would recommend.
