So far only about 5 days of wearing this watch and I love it. Works great for most part, couple little bugs within the app but nothing that would cause me not to buy it. It's fairly accurate in measuring miles when running. As well as accurate hear rate and other activities tracker functions seem accurate. For the price and what it does it's a home run compared to some others. It's not an entire smart watch but has smart functions and is more activity geared which is what I wanted

I had this for a week. This is a nice all around tracker. Smart features need to be better. So, if what you are looking for is a light weight, nice looking wearable this is great. The GPS is good, the HR reading is good. I did return this, as I really wanted more of a smart watch with the exercise added in. I went with the Apple Watch!! Garmin app is really great!!

The watch has been amazing, coming from an Apple Watch series 2 I mainly was looking for something that’s battery lasted longer than a day. This watch exceeded expectations by a long shot. I can go 6 days with full use of all the watch’s features before charging is required. The software was a bit of a learning curve but once it was all figured out I didn’t have any issues. The GPS works great, it’s really cool to see a satellite map following the route you took for whichever activity and all the other features work great too. Some may be disappointed by the display as it’s not a bright amoled but it’s always on and the backlight does a good job of illuminating the screen. It still has good color and customizability, I have my dog as my background and I can’t complain.

Looks good, has numerous apps. water resistant. I use my watch mainly for running on a treadmill and playing golf. I also use it as a regular watch with alarm clock features. It has a lot of features that I still have to try but the ones that I use work great. It paired easily with my phone and I customized it to receive notifications from my phone. The battery uses about 20% per day tracking daily activities. When I play golf, I can get 2 rounds in before I have to recharge. Luckily, it recharges quickly so if I play 2 rounds in a day, I can break for lunch and recharge before I start my next round. I have worn it in the pool multiple times and it has worked well. It is a little touchy in the water but its performance did not degrade.

My wife traded in her old Vivoactive simply to have a new watch and she really likes the look and style of the new version. The old watch still worked perfectly after two years but the wife wanted the new features on the 3 and she is very happy. Setup was quick and easy and even though she had to upgrade the Garmin connect app she was up and running very quickly. I have a Garmin Fenix 3 and I am very impressed with the Vivoactive 3 and it has the capability of using almost all the apps my much higher priced Fenix watch uses. One thing my wife really like is the ability to change watch faces and she spent a lot of time downloading and trying new watch faces. She made the comment that "I might put a new watch face on every day" and I think she just might. My wife is very happy with the new Vivoactive 3 and I just might save a couple of hundred dollars when my Fenix wears out and get the Vivoactive 3.

i purchased this because of previous Garmin products I've owned and always pleased as well as a customer service experience i had which was very positive. I've owned this item for a month plus and very happy. i like the look and dial which is easy to read. I've compared my steps to another Garmin tracker i own and steps line up. watch is not heavy and band is comfortable. so far i recommend this product.

wanted an upgrade from my old fitbit that clipped on to my waist. I don't really need the email alerts and other smart functions but GPS and activity tracking (not just running) were important. Have only used for a couple of days but so far so good.

The graffics are not crisp at all. The display is back lit and seems dated. Nothing like the picture in the advertisement. If you cycle with a garmin cycling computer this is a good watch for you. It can pair with your bike sensors . The heart rate monitor is very accurate. The features and apps are great. I did not return because I really like the fact I can use out on the road cycling because it has a built in GPS.

Reasons to buy this watch: looks like a “regular” watch with a circular face and a slim profile. You want to be able to swim and shower without worry. You like to track different types of activities besides running. You don’t want to have to charge it daily. You like to customize the face and use different widgets. You like lots of data about your day. Reasons not to buy this watch: you need to be able to answer emails on your watch. In that case spend $200 more on an Apple Watch.

Great fitness tracker. Long battery life, you can get phone notifications and has a bult in gps and it's waterproof!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He put it on that night and hasn’t taken it off since. He’s in love. He used to have a Fitbit, but he says this is so much more accurate. It’s easy to use, and he loves the fact that he gets all his notifications on his wrist now, without having to pull out his phone at work. It seems to fit him comfortably around his wrist, and the battery last a long time, so he can wear it for days, even in the shower. He’s even got me convinced I should get one, and I just might!

This is the best thing ever! I have had an apple watch and the Samsung Gear watch and this beats them both! It works as a great smart watch, tracks steps very well and other fitness stuff. It is easy to use and provides a lot of good information. The battery life usually lasts me 2 1/2 days because I am heavy on the notifications and stuff. I am happy with it but I am considering the Fenix series because they are supposed to be even better. Garmin has hit the ball out of the park.

Love this watch. Run/bike/sleep tracking etc. Plus NFC payments. So light, I often forget I even have it on. The app is also an added bonus, great layout, and is super helpful. A watch that does everything I need to do and does it well. Oh, and great battery life and a super reasonable price.

This is my second Garmin watch. A few things. The bad: 1. resting heart rate is off. I'm not sure what they use, but I was sitting and my heart rate was 65-66 for about 1/2 an hour. My resting rate today is 83 ??? 2. Sometimes it takes several minutes for GPS to synch up. My old watch was under a minute. 3. It sometimes takes minutes to discover it's connected to my smart phone or my computer. Then it synchs up. 4. When I unplug it from the computer, it's 2-3 minutes before it wakes up. The Good: 1. GPS is more accurate than my old watch. 2. Lots of programable watch faces to choose from. 3. Way more features than my old watch. 4. Garmin Pay is fantastic. 5. Although quite large, it's light and comfortable to wear. 6. Configurable to such an extent, you'll spend a week figuring out exactly what you want on/off/etc. 7. Easy to replace bands. 8. Intuitive interface with one button and touch screen interface. 9. The color screen is very easy to read in sunlight, better than when backlit.

Everything about this watch is exactly what I wanted. Very attractive, all the activities that I participate in are included. Very easy set up and include in my gamin accountant that transferredan to this devise. The push button on off is great on activity completion and save or discard. GPS is simple. Large face makes the readings crystal clear and the battery life is great. I wis I could give this watch 6 stars.

Had this watch for about a month now and it's been great so far. Good balance of style and features for the price. This is my first fitness watch and I imagine it's not quite in the range of the apple watch as far as features go, but for the price tag and functionality of this watch I'd say the vivoactive is a much better deal (unless you are apple brand loyal). Recommended!

This is the original version of Vivoactive 3, without the local music storage feature. It is a great size, big enough to be visible on the wrist but not so big that smaller wristed users would be uncomfortable. The screen takes some getting used to as it is NOT like some other smart watch type devices with a bright colorful OLED display. It is optimized for seeing in direct sunlight, which makes sense given that it is designed to be an outdoor fitness tracking watch. And it succeeds in this extremely well, it is easier to see the more direct the sunlight. If you are inside at home, the always-on screen can be tough to see, but you just have to flick your wrist to bring the back light on and you're fine. The strap is a smooth rubber which is very comfortable even when worn snugly. I have tested the accuracy of the various sensors against other fitness trackers that I own, and this one seems pretty much spot-on. I personally like the Garmin phone software application very much, as seeing the data in great detail is easy to do. it does not shine as an actual smartwatch, as it gets basic alerts with are clear and easy to read but it does not have a lot of fancy smartwatch functions. So if you want what is primarily a great fitness tracker with some basic smart watch functions this is a great choice. It has a modest selection of apps in the Garmin app store, and a pretty good selection of watch faces, but again if you're looking for smartwatch applications, you will be disappointed.

Compared to Vivoactive HR: Pros: Better interface; round bezel is more stylish; notifications are easier; stress measure is a nice addition Cons: battery life is 3 days as compared to 7; disconnects from garmin connect frequently and fails to notify; side swipe is a useless gimmick that does not work. Furthermore, given that this watch is not a stand-alone device, i.e., no LTE or music playback capability, I cannot think that I would leave my phone at home, so I would not need garmin pay since I have well-functioning Samsung pay on my phone I retuned this product and will continue to use my vivoactive hrwhich is $50 cheaper and I think, a better product for the purpose.

Great price for a smart watch. I use it for mountain biking, GPS tracks well. Nice watch, light weight, and so far has been very durable. Battery last about a week, but I am still playing with it. It may be getting to many alerts that run it down quicker. Nice watch / tracker / heart rate / all work well.

I owned a Garmin vivoactive HR previously and it was just getting old, although it still worked. I decided to upgrade to a new Garmin and I love it. It is so light I forget I have it on. And it is easy to I terser with. Lots of options. Completely happy with it!
