Customers are saying

Customers recognize the vívofit 2 Activity Tracker's exceptional battery life and ease of use as significant advantages. Many appreciate its water resistance and sleep tracking capabilities, while some find the syncing process challenging and express a desire for a heart rate monitor. The device's size and clasp have also received mixed feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of battery life and ease of use appear to outweigh the concerns regarding syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor for many users.

Things I like about viivofit 2: It lets you know to move after one hour of inactivity; the sleep tracker (although not quite accurate); the price; easy to sync; and I like being able to connect with and receive encouragement from others. Yes, I would definitely recommend this to others.

Helps me stay motivated and is simple to use. You don't need the app to see your progress for the day with steps. Only con is the manual syncing but it's simple to do.

I read all the reviews that compared the VivoFit 2 against the Fitbit. I decided to buy the ViviFit 2 because it is waterproof, has a 1 year battery life, much nicer display, and support for an external heart rate monitor. After using it for a couple of days, I am somewhat disappointed. The menu on the VivoFit 2 is basic, but in my opinion they could have done a better job of how it is organized. Sometimes you press something you don't want running. The VivoFit 2 counts steps while I am driving. It seems it can't tell the difference between actually stepping or sitting in a car driving. I tried the heart rate monitor strap and it seemed to work well. The calories it measured were close to what the exercise machine in the gym displayed. The Garmin Connect Mobile software is half-baked. It seems to me again, with a little effort could have been much better. For starts, the steps do not get reflected into MyFitnessPal. After researching this online, I found that Garmin and MFP are not "step partners". It sounds ridiculous that they don't share steps. Additionally, while the bracelet displays the number of calories one burns during the day, the Garmin Connect does not. It displays your calorie goals and calories from activites, but not the base calories burned. I work out on a Precor AMT machine. I wear the heart rate monitor during this time. It counts steps at the same time and so I can't tell if the calories are from just the heart rate monitor or if it adds the steps. The instructions are minimal. It shows you how to set up, but doesn't really explain some of the features. For example in the Garmin Connect setup, it has some notifications for text, email, etc. However, I cannot figure out if it actually has anything to do with the bracelet and it isn't explained anywhere. On a positive note, the design of the bracelet is nice. It is really comfortable and hardly notice it on. In general, I think there is potential, but it seems to me Garmin released this product a little early and has plenty of room for improvement.

This is a great tool for monitoring your activity. It is easy to read and when downloaded the information gives a good look at your activity and sleep levels. The wrist band is difficult to get on and off. Takes some practice otherwise the function part is real easy.

Good overall product, and year long battery is a bonus convenience so you are not charging it a couple times every week. Only major limitation is this does not measure or record your heart rate, but other than that is a very user friendly device and a good value.

After missing days because my FitBit would die within the week, I finally replaced with the Vivofit. It doesn't have built in heart monitoring, but it tracks my activities and the 1 year battery means I don't need to worry about it dying the middle of my work week.

I love this. I have said for 15 years I need to start moving. I never do. I have a desk job and a busy life filled with kid;s activities. I come last. This is really just a gimmick for me but it's working. I sit all day. Now every time I have been sitting for a hour I am "told" to get up and move around so I do. It's wonderful. I feel so much better. I am walking at night to get the most of my steps in but just getting up during the day to do a lap around the office has helped greatly. Several of us in the office have one and we have a little contest going on the leaderboards. Makes it fun and enjoyable to exercise. It's not 100% accurate if that's what you are looking for. It's on your wrist. I get out of the shower in the morning and then dry my hair and I'm up to 600 steps. I haven't left a 50 sq ft space. That can not be. There must be devices out there that are more accurate but for my needs this is great. It's water resistant so I don't have to take it off. It knows when I go to sleep. I feel better about myself. I have had this for 6 weeks and I'm still going. There is an app for it. All in all I just love it for what it is.

The Garmin Vivo2 is for those of us who want to know just enough to keep motivated by showing us our steps, calories, miles. I have enough gadgets to plug up each night. The Garmin has a 1 year battery. What a relief! Being in Healthcare, my hands are always being washed. I don't worry about getting the Vivo wet. It's great!

I really like the actual unit. It doesn't require charging and works well as a watch for me in addition to being a step counter. Not having to charge it is a big advantage. Ihaven't tested its ability to be waterproof. The bracelet is much more comfortable than my coworker's fitbit. I have an older iphone so it doesn't work with it. I have to sync it with my laptop. The software worked on one laptop but not my newer one. I almost took it back after trying to sync for 2 hours on my new laptop but it hooked in to the older one with no problems. The one thing I've learned is that you cannot have more than one garmin unit linked to one account, therefore, if you want a forerunner for running, just get it because you can't go back and forth with different products like fitbit. Overall, being able to see big digits on an interchangeable band makes it the best option.

This one is waterproof for swimming ulike the other brands which he needed. However, you do have to wear a separate heart rate monitor if you want that information. One year battery life but am not sure how to charge it after one year.

The Garmin Vivofit II is a good activity tracker for someone just wanting to stay active and meet a daily goal. The band for this tracker is a good improvement over the previous model, the locking device keeps it more secure on the wrist. The Vivofit II pairs well with a separate heart rate monitor to provide an accurate heart rate during cardio activities. I like to get my heart rate into a set range and keep it there throughout my workouts and this device lets me monitor my progress. Garmin also provides a good online dashboard that synchronizes with the Vivofit for tracking your activity history. I found it very easy to set up and operate.

I bought this over other brands because it has a large, easy to read display, it doesn't have to be charged all the time and the app is easy to understand. It has motivated me to walk every day and hit the goals. I highly recommend.

I have used Fitbits, Samsung & Band. I come back to this for 2 primary reasons: Battery & waterproof. I have taken a dip in the pool & showered wearing it - no problem. Don't want to worry about charging every 3 to 10 days either. Especially when you are going on extended trips & you don't need to lug another proprietary charger along. And the step count is pretty accurate (compared it to the Garmin Fenix 3). The back light helps in dark environments. For the price paid, I'm stoked to wear this.

I had help from my teenage nephew and daughter who never saw one before and they were able to set it up for the 47 year old. Walked 10k steps at work today and now I know why I am tired. 5 miles at work is great.

Like the fact that it has a 1 year battery. You can swim laps in it without fear of it getting wet. One drawback is I haven't figured out how to change the Time. Watch seems to be running abiut 7 minutes fast.

I had a fit bit before. You don't have to charge every few days. You can see how many steps you have done and how many you need yet. Date and time. And calories burned. Much better than the basic fit bit.

I looked a lot of different activity trackers but kept coming back to the Garmin. I've had it since mid-January and have not been disappointed. It's easy to use and keeps good track of my activity.
