Acceptable - Third Party Installer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure if one of the two techs was old enough to drive, but ultimately install went okay. A little more attention to detail would have been nice.

BAD INSTALLATION SERVICES
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the dryer very much but Best Buy installation service was the worst. If It wasn’t because Best Buy was the only company I found that makes the LP conversion kit installation I would have cancel everything. First, the process of buying the machine online and scheduling the service was very easy but even though I was paying for the LP conversion kit they never offered me the kit online and I thought it might come with the installation. So the first installation attempt was not possible because even though the technician arrived he asked me for the kit and as I did not have it they left the machine in the box and left. I had to call BB to buy the kit but BB did not have it, they didn’t even know the model or what I was talking about. So I have to do my own research and bought the kit through Amazon. With all the parts in hand I scheduled the 2nd installation attempt. For that one I waited more than the time frame the gave me and finally the technician called me telling me he won’t come. I couldn’t schedule the 3rd installation attempt until 4 days later because the installation cancellation of the 2nd attempt was never done so the order got stuck in the system. It was not until I found an employee willing to do some changes in the system that I was able to schedule the 3rd installation attempt. When the technician came for the 3er time they opened the box and the machine was damaged everywhere. So they did nothing. Finally I had the machine switched on the same day the installation was done, more than 20 days after I bought the machine. The technicians who made the installation were great, no complaints about them. They left everything neat and machine working fine. But I don’t thing I will use BB services again!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is false advertising at best. Best Buy sent 1 person to install our dryer and bring it up a flight of stairs. The man was incapable of doing it himself so I had to help. This service also does or does NOT include the needed adapter. Wholly dependent on who you talk to because I got 3 answers. I ended up installing myself with parts I ordered.

Bad installers who are also dishonest.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy contracts the installations to AYS Repairs. They are terrible. They damaged the door on the first installation so Best Buy promptly shipped a new dryer. The second dryer, they failed to reconnect the igniter when converting it to propane so it wouldn't light. They told me it was defective and I would have to order yet another dryer. I ended up opening up the dryer myself and seeing the disconnected igniter so I fixed it myself. They also insisted on charging us $85 for a permit that I'm fairly certain they never applied for. I have had the washer and dryer replaced before and did not need to get a permit. They insisted on it, so I paid them, and they told me the county would come to inspect it in a couple days. Nobody came to inspect it. Over the next couple months, I called multiple times and each time they told me that they would contact the county and an inspector would be out shortly. I finally gave up. I have checked the Frederick County permits website and I do not see any evidence that a permit was ever applied for. I have had quite a bit of work done on my house and there are many other permits, but none for a washer or dryer installation. I don't know if I really needed a permit/inspection, but I do know that AYS took my money and never applied for one.

Difficulties during dryer conversion / install
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This service could have been better. It was re-scheduled several times due to the ordering of the components not being processed properly leaving my tenant without a working dryer for weeks instead of a reasonable amount of time. Then, the service tech was quite inconsiderate and rude enough for them to report it to me. If you'd like to speak more about this you're welcome to reach out via email. Overall, the dryer conversion was done just late and in a manner by the tech that wasn't the experience I am used to using best buy total tech.

No refund propane leak
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible, left with a propane leak in my house for 8 hours. I am having such a difficult time getting reimbursed the 300 dollars from Best Buy. Submitted a claim 1/27, 1/31, and again 2/13. The lady I talked to today on 2/13 didn’t even see a claim escalated on the first 2 days to get reimbursed for the service charge of 300 and we had to go buy a new seal of 50 dollars cause it was cracked from the first delivery guy. Just hire your own people not this company MN plumbing.

A few bumps along the wy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This installation did not go as planned. I purchased the installation with Liquid Propane conversion and was not advised of a need for the LP conversion (WE25M87 ordered through GE) kit by Best buy. They came to install my dryer and could not. When I called them they rescheduled and told me any conversion kit would work. I kept looking and found out only the correct kit would work. The installation took another 3 weeks to happen. The dryer was in my living room for 3 weeks! It was finally installed and works great. Best buy really should list that part as a needed item when someone chooses LP conversion.

5 ⭐️ for the machines, service was abysmal.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to best buy and bought a washer and dryer. Paid extra for delivery and install with $250 for LP conversion and install on the dryer. Waited all day the day of delivery for with a no call, no show from XPO. Delivery and install was rescheduled for a week later. They showed up on time but without the LP conversion kit for the dryer. Conversion and install was scheduled another week out. I ordered the LP kit from Amazon same day delivery and converted/installed it myself then cancelled the work order and got my money back.

NEVER AGAIN
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If only I could give zero stars. Washer and dryer were delivered on 12/17, hours beyond the time window given, and so late they didn't have time to do the installation so they plunked the machines down in my living room and left them there. Was told installation would have to be rescheduled. On 12/26 a new crew arrived but couldn't do the installation because the first crew didn't leave the installation kits I paid for. At least this crew moved the machines to the utility room. Called AGAIN to get the machines hooked up, the soonest date I could get was 01/15, A MONTH after the machines were first delivered. This is beyond ridiculous!

Free delivery and installation… well sort of.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were charged for installation even though that we paid for it at the store. If I had known that we were going to be double charged, I would have never selected the option for installation from the start.

slow delivery progress
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The delivery process was a mess. I spent three weeks trying to locate my dryer, while I was paying for it, and after delivery date past. The install was fine. I already had the propane connection, so all that was needed was the small converter fitting. The rest of the install went fine, in fact, very good.

Frustrating
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took 3 tries. The first time was delivery and they didn’t have the conversion kit, so rescheduled. Second try was a no-show and had to reschedule. Third try was successful.

Perfect Installation
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We could not have had a better installation. The technicians worked quickly and efficiently, replacing the old LP gas connectors & vent hose. Just note that the actual converter valve (dual check valve) IS NOT included in the kit and must be purchased separately before the dryer can be installed.

Great Installer for Gas Dryer with LP conversion
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paul did a good job for installing the LG gas dryer with LP conversion installation (we has Liquid Propane, not natural gas). We ordered a Maytag gas dryer with LP conversion installation originally on 9/9/22. 4 Maytag dryers was delivered & returned from 9/29/22 ~ 10/22/22 due to product defects, and maybe not installed properly. We lost faith with Maytag gas dryer and decided to replace with LG gas dryer. Paul installed the LG gas dryer on 10/26/22 for us and found prior installer who installed our 4th Maytag dryer forgot to remove the Gas Pressure Control part which is is the main reason why the 4th Maytag dryer won't heat up. Paul checked machine leveling with the floor and the wall to make sure the machine sit right. He also close our laundry machine door and stay inside himself to smell if there is any gas leak smell before he leave. He is the only installer we met did these 2 additional checks before he left our house. Bestbuy should hire full time/professional gas dryer installer like Paul when the customer use Liquid Propane for heating up the dryer. The LP conversion kit require more skill set and attention to detail people to do the job. If Paul is the person installed our 2nd Maytag gas dryer, the dryer might work fine and we might not need to wait so long to get a working dryer.
