I took much longer to heat up food than with this microwave than it did with my old microwave (over ten years old). When I heated the food longer to get it to the right temperature, the food was dried out. The button configuration was also confusing, and the Start button was very hard to activate.

Often the things that have the most value or quality are small and it's so true that good things come in small packages with this GE Compact Microwave. This GE Compact does EVERYTHING our bigger 24w x 16h used to, New power is 700W and old was 1100W -- who cares, just wait 45 SECONDS longer!! The space is saves is fantastic.

Small but gets the job done. I use it for reheating and defrosting mostly but also cook vegetables in it. No complaints except that the surface really shows finger prints. You have to damp wipe it and then dry it with a soft cloth daily.

Size and power is prefect for older couple. Under cabinet mounting works great.

the small footprint is great in our kitchen, but it's taking a little getting used to. It's quiet...which is great when one of us has insomnia and wants warm milk without the microwave dinging loudly at the end of the cycle.

nice small microwave only thing i would add is a backlit display if i were to buy need a new one.. but hope this one gives me at least 15 years like my sharp did

I purchased this microwave to replace my 27 yr. old GE microwave when we re-modeled our kitchen. I was so happy GE still makes an under the cabinet mounted microwave because counter space is at a minimum in my kitchen. This microwave has lots of options and does the job very well.

The GE 0.7 cubic ft. Compact Microwave is a good small microwave. it works well and is quiet. The price was very reasonable and it can be mounted under a cabinet.

I bought my G.E. microwave online to replace my old one that I had had for about 15 years. I've purchased G.E. products before and never had a problem with any of them. I was excited when the new microwave arrived about 2 days after I purchased it. I took everything out of the box and cleaned the microwave and the turntable. As I was about to clean the ring, I noticed that it was broken inside of the styrofoam packing. I called the company and was told the rings were on back order to the end of the month(this was at the beginning of the month) and that it would take at least 5 business days after that before I received a replacement ring. The new ring came in July and this time it was in a cardboard box which was inside a bubble wrap envelope. My complaint about this ring is that the material is too flimsy. Also trying to fit this ring inside a rigid piece of styrofoam is asking for it to get broken. Package it in bubble wrap! Another complaint is that I have to order the full manual(there was only a Quick Use and Care manual in the box which is not helpful at all). Right now the only thing I can do, is heat water and set the clock. I tried using the Quick Use manual and nothing is working so now if I want to reheat or cook anything small, I have to use my big old stove. Now I'm waiting for the full manual which will take another 3-7 business days. I am so disappointed. The next appliance that I buy, I will make sure I go to the store to check it out.

I had to purchase a 0.7 cu ft microwave because that was the only size that would fit on the shelf in the house I moved into. Someone told me to go to another store and just pick up something around $60. Big mistake. All the cheap ones have a door handle that when you try to open it, ends up pulling the whole oven off the shelf. Plus the cheap ones were--cheaply made. Duh. Thinner metal, etc. I had had a GE before, much bigger and it ran like a champ. So I went on Best Buy's website and was ecstatic when I saw they made a small one. I ordered it and it was at the store 2 days later. I love, love, love this microwave. The door opens by pushing a button, so the microwave stays in place. The touch pad options are all familiar from my larger one. Best of all, I can fit a very large dinner plate or a large pyrex bowl in it. Yes, the power is lower than the big ones, but it is no big deal. Thank you, GE for make this small microwave. It is worth every penny I paid for it. "You get what you pay for" has never been truer.

Perfect size for a counter top and Worked but under powered

Good microwave. works well and is good size, doesn't take up too much room.

Heats quickly and evenly. Somewhat cramped inside but fits our space and suits our needs. Lacks some of the pre-sets of the full size microwave. Overall a hit.

We purchased this to put into a new pantry. We had a large microwave over the range. When we remodeled we wanted to save that space for a tiled backslash over the new induction cooktop. We mostly cook and only use the microwave to heat up leftovers. This has worked great. The only downside is that we have to clean it once in awhile to remove odors.
