My prior microwave was the same exact model. It lasted a couple of years and then began to turn on by itself. I attributed this to there being a short somewhere in the system so I got rid of it and was very glad to find the exact same model still for sale. So I bought this one in just 3 months ago. Then yesterday out of the blue it started to do the SAME THING that the old one did… it started to TURN ON BY ITSELF. At first, I was able to just unplug it and then plug it back in to use it, but today it will not work AT ALL !! I am shocked at the horrible cheap workmanship that I have found in this model. I will not be buying another GE microwave….they are cheaply made JUNK !!!

We had gone down in wattage from what we were used to so maybe that was why it worked poorly. I am not sure because even a cheap microwave has cooked food faster than this model. Eh, to be safe, I wouldn't buy it.
