This microwave just stopped working after about 8 months of use.
It just stopped heating food and makes a loud sound during the process.

Returned it 3days after getting it.
Made horrible sound (grinding noise) when turning it on first start up of the day or after sitting for few hours.
Also had bad electrical burning odor when running.
Loud as well.
Could of just been a lemon, but didn’t want to take a chance so we returned it

this microwave does not have good venting and fills with steam. that may be why it has no power after 3 months. i am now having to deal with GE for repair becase Best Buy does not offer help pther tan GE telephone number

We bought this in May - today, went to you use it as usual, time cook, and we keep getting a Food message showing up. Doesn't do anything if you unplug it, or press start. And it's out of the return window :-(

All GE microwaves offered today have a safety feature to prevent you from accidentally starting the unit empty. Try pressing Time Cook and enter 2 minutes for your time, then open the door and insert a cup of water for testing purposes and then press Start. If the microwave continues to misbehave, an issue has developed. We would recommend reviewing Page 15 of the Owner's Manual for details of your warranty coverage. Regards, Vikki@GEA

Door switch trips breaker everytime you open or close the door. Piece of junk and GE is impossible to get a replacement. Had this since May of 2020 and have had nothing but trouble. I will never purchase another GE product.

I blew 3 fuses troubleshooting this thing.
Blew the 20 A fuse. Took it back to Best Buy, ended up losing a 4 yr protection plan in the process.
Never again GE. Never again Best Buy. :|

Unpacked the unit and saw there is a huge rust stain on the front panel. Tried to wipe it off with some wiping alcohol, but couldn’t remove it. Is going back.

We bought this product on March 29, 2021. The fan has been noisy since day 1. Now October 10, 2021 it is dead. What a shame. There is only a 60 day return policy. I would never buy this again.

very disappointed in this microwave. I gave this as a gift. we tried to use it , first it smoked like crazy and the very top of unit was
hot as ever. very, very disappointed. Lugged it back to store, I thought they had no contact returns, not true!!!!!
