Shuts down constantly

no star at all, the first one was so scary noisy.

We returned it back and decided ,no more GE appliances.

Overheats & shuts off

Posted .Hello there. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We hate to hear that your microwave isn't working properly. We can understand how this isn't ideal and apologize for the frustrations that this has caused.
If the microwave shuts down during a cooking cycle and appears to have no power, check the house circuit breaker and verify the outlet is getting power. You can try plugging something else into the outlet, like a night light, lamp, etc. If the outlet is getting power, the microwave may have overheated.
If the microwave turns off before the set time is complete, it can be due to a covered or blocked oven vent around the case. Uncover the vent or reposition the oven so that the vents are not blocked. This will assure adequate airflow around the oven.
Wait approximately 30 minutes to see if the microwave power returns. If power does not return to the microwave, this signals a problem. Please have your microwave serviced. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737, Mon-Fri 7 am – 10 pm ET, Sat-Sun 8 am – 6 pm ET. We hope this helps. -Arnesha@GEA

Burned up

Under the terms of the warranty, GE will repair the unit in your home at no charge to you. The manufacturer's warranty does not provide for replacement of the unit. Disappointment

Defect?
